Hi,
I developed one activeX control which uploads multiple files to web server,using "Microsoft Internet Transfer Control" which uses FTP protocol to upload.
I want this to be done in HTTP,i dont want to make use of PHP/ASP/JSP script to upload.My control should upload all files.
Please suggest me if u have better solution to this.

You can't do it with HTTP its the wrong protocol (HyperText Transfer Protocol). You need to use FTP (File Transfer Protocol). The clue is in the names of the protocols.

You could use a php scrip on the server that will load any file you spesify with VB

i have a method that contains two parameters . Now my question is , how should i give the address of that method to thread , as the thrad don't allow two parameters ?

There are two different ways of doing that:
1. Create a class as a container for the two values, and send an instance of the class to the method.
2. Put the method in a class among with two member variables, and put the values in the member variables before starting the thread so that the method can access them.

this data is read and input DataGridView which have format

Have a look in your Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Data Sources. You may find that you have a Data Source called Excel Files under either the User DSN or System DSN tab. Using this, connector may be the simpliest way of achieving your desired results.

What is Tally? Presumably a vertical software package that you do not have access to the database.
Find out if you can connect to the database.
Find out if you can export the data.
Find out if you can output the data as reports.
Deal with the resulting output by parsing the information.

Hi!
To just put the song's name in the listbox I suggest using the FileName from the OpenFileDialog and splitting it in order to extract the filename only, for example:
Dim OpenSong As New OpenFileDialog
OpenSong.ShowDialog()
If Not OpenSong.CheckFileExists Then Exit Sub
If OpenSong.FileName = "" Then Exit Sub
Dim SongSplit As Array = Split(OpenSong.FileName, "\")
Dim SongName As String = SongSplit(SongSplit.Length - 1).ToString
MyListBox.Items.Add(SongName)
This Should Work, If All you want to do is add the song's name to a listbox, forgive me if I misunderstood your question.

Hi All!
Having browsed through several immensely complicated and powerful docking form frameworks, I have found that my knowledge of Visual Basic is just not great enough to use them and that my application does not require such powerful frameworks.
All I am looking for is something that can take standard windows forms and dock them to the edges of a parent form. I have considered creating a control myself but don't know where to start.
Does anybody know where I can find an example, article or control that can accomplish, or help me accomplish this?

Is this not an MDI application. I am not aware that you can "dock" a standard form to a parent form unless it is MDI. I never use MDI but thought this was one of the features.

Exactly....
I think the trouble is... the"value" of what. I think sometimes that is the value of the dataset if I am doing a query on a database in which case I think I need to know the total number of records returned which I might know after retriving the dataset.
Other times it might be the size of a file that I am either saving or opening, which I would know after the fact.
Thats kind-of what I'm wondering is if there is some gerenic Algorithm that can be used when you don't know ahead of time how big something is.
It seems if you don't know then the progress is not really a direct feedback of what I'm doing at the time.
Which is why the examples in the help files etc are some lame.
