I am getting the error "ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name".
I'm new to Oracle so I don't know what this means. I don't think there's an Oracle provider for .Net installed on this PC, so I'm guessing I'll have to use the default MS provider 'msdaora'.
Of course, I could be totally lost here too.

actually this is OOT of this forum, but you have to install oracle client in your installed machine and define service name in tnsnames.ora

The problem is that when the provider tries to read TNSNAMES.ORA, it doesn't find entry for CIS-SERVER. Check that there is a definition for this server and the name matches.
TNSNAMES is located in oracle home under \NETWORK\ADMIN or it is routed to somewhere else using TNS_ADMIN either in environment variables or registry.

Hi, everyone
Now, I'm use to data paging in DataGridView. When I search data on DataGridView that is just show data in present page. I would like get all data rows of DataTable that is being data paging on DataGridView.
For example: pagesize = 5, DataTable have two pages.
data in 1st page:
name age
John 21
N.John 20
Nancy 20
Tomath 21
Jan 22
and data in 2nd page:
name age
Jany 20
Alpha 21
Don 22
Bony 20
Tomy 22
One-page is present page. I'm beginning search data at "name" column as 'Tom'. It is just show one row in DataGridView. This data is correct when it show two rows in DataGridView. That is all. Did the way solve this problem? Can anyone help me?

Hi everyone,
i have code using speechlib 5.1. it runs on my computer, but does not run on a server. Server does not have a sound card. But another application also uses speechlib can produce tts wav files. i tested wav files. they are ok. i quess the other application (written in C++) uses a virtual sound driver (Cisco wave driver ). How do i create tts files . Any suggestions will be helpful.

Reader the header in the image file. The bitmap class also has a PixelFormat get property along with other properties that when combined should provide enough information.

Yesterday was some day, sorry, I had just recently went over some code that was identical up here at the office. MS usually uses enum for that sort of thing I assumed it was an enum and type the suggestion by rote without even thinking about it. Now here I am looking at it and laughing at myself for the error. And people like Leppie think I am never wrong :p

Hi all, just a couple of questions relating to SmtpClient and the Send() method.
According to MSDN the method blocks until the e-mail is transmitted. I don't really have a need (at least not now) to send e-mails asynchronously so for my purposes this is fine. But what exactly does it mean if the "e-mail is transmitted"? Does that mean I can relax in the knowledge that the recipient will receive his e-mail the next time he connects to his mail server or am I simply guaranteed that my SMTP server received my command and passed it on without problems?
In other words, if the function returns without throwing an exception, is that a guarantee that the recipient will receive the message or can something still go wrong after that point which will only be caught if I send the message asynchronously and implement a callback when it's delivered successfully?
Finally, if someone would be so kind as to illustrate to me how you would wrap your SmtpClient.Send() method with exception handling so as to ensure that an e-mail is sent or the failure is reported properly I would appreciate it very much. Don't worry about illustrating how to set up the SmtpClient, I know how to do that.

Hi all. This is the first time I write a windows installer and I was wondering, when you add a user dialog how to you interact with the user input in those dialogs. I tryed double clicking on the dialog but that doesn't work. Is there some way to get code behind those dialogs?
