I have made a simple application which will do a callback to the server side. Means I have used ICallbackEventHandler to get RaiseCallbackEvent to be called from javascript.
Here in the callback I need to get the content of another page just similar to what Server.Execute does.
Is it possible to request a page from server side and load it into a div, which we do from client using XMLHttpRequest, without moving the context to that page.
Please let me know.

I am using asp.net 2.0 with C#.
In my application i have to put a icon on the left of URL.as in codeproject.com have.for it i am using this code,

<link rel="sortcut Icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon"/>
</head>
but this is not working.icon is not shown with url.
can any one tell me me how i show favicon icon with my application.

Make sure the image is 16x16px. I had a problem when this wasnt the correct size and it didnt show.

ARe you using a masterpage with your website. The favicon has to go in your masterpage.
Below is the code I am using and it works fine:
Try deleting the cache in your browser and then closing and opening it again.

some time i used masterpage and some time simple page.
now icon shown on FireFox,but on IE still not shown.
how i will rectify it.
also i removed history and cache may time.
but still not working.
i cant understand it.

Check out some articles on creating a favicon and make sure you have followed everything perfectly.

I have to validate input text boxes for the below sample character.
NI╤O TARAZONA [Notice a special character in the string]. There ca n be many more special characters like this. These are accents and not a regular english character.
So we thought of handling these issues to validate the text for the range of ASCII characters 32 to 126. Is there a way we can do it? I wrote a regular expression but it never worked.
I'll appreciate any leads on this.

All Google does is display a list of images as the results. You will need to have a database which contains images and then query that database and display the results in the gridview.
It sounds to me as if you havent a clue what you are doing and are just fishing for complete code.

Its a simple enough page, you can use a multitude of controls - two that come to mind are table and repeater.

We always think of its better if user can not see the url of some pages.
but trust me there are n ways to see(or find) the url of page.
so, why try to hide it. if its not accessible to others(make it secure)
If u still want to hide it, u can achive this as...
1)u can open div as popup and make it appear like window (with styling)
but popup blocker will stop u r div from popping up
2)use iframe inside child window and set url for that iframe directly(u may pass querystring to that child window in session variable)
3) If u want to hide querystring values the u can encrypt querystring.

One of my ASP.NET portal applications was reported about the problem with Session key mixed up by using IE 7 and multiple tab feature.
Hi All,
The user opens the application with IE 7 and open the application parallelly with multiple tabs. Then the user submits the form in the first tab and then the second tab immediately after the first tab. The problem is ASP.NET server issues the same session key for both of the tabs in the same IE browser. So, ASP.NET Server side knows both of the requests are coming from the same session key and then the session objects created by the first request process is overwritten by the successive second request process. Then the application got problem for data inconsistency.
The server side process requires to use session object due to some constraints. So, I'm trying to find out the solution how to detect this the session key conflict problem in multiple tabs/browser either in the client side or server side.
If anyone has encountered this kind of similar problem or has solution in hand, could you please share me? I appreciate for your advices and solutions.
