The thing is, for a typical application, you dont need to bother with this tcpip. Just let it be. Unless you are sure that based on what you are doing, this tcpip value needs to be changed. You could perhaps give some details.

I see that you are using InProc to store state. The following will suffice in this case:
<sessionState mode="Inproc" cookieless="false" timeout="20"/>
You do not need the tcpip attribute

I try to save data to my SQl 2005 database from my ASP.net 2.0 web application
everything go fine unless a problem occurred when i try to save the data written in the Arabic format
i try to put this line in the web.config but nothing has change
"<globalization requestEncoding="utf-8" responseEncoding="utf-8"/>"
Any idea to solve my prob it'll be greatly appreciated

What datatype you used to save the Arabic format text?
It should be nvarchar or ntext.

double click is not common in the web applications.
but i think you can use javascript code.
or you can use third-party controls.

Hi, I have a web page where the user select a Company and with that i keep the Company name in memory though a Session but when i go to the next page the Session only last like 5 minutes?
Any reason why and how i can fix this, i did extend the Session state in the Web.config but that did not work.
Example: Session("CompanyName") = "Bytes Technology"
In my web.config i have: <sessionstate>
timeout="40" />
I move from Default.aspx to CompanyDetail.aspx with my Session("CompanyName")
But if i let the program idle in CompanyDetail.aspx i lose the Session State.
Any ideas?

My wildest guess would be that their servers are configured to clear sessions after 5 minutes for performance reasons...

Well, the web.config setting should override the server's machine.config one, but maybe... or it could be that the server is overloaded - too many websites/requests for the memory it has... I'd write to their tech supprt and ask them why session is being lost.

If you're developing on XP or even Vista but plan to deploy on a "proper" server platform (Windows Server 2003/8) I wouldn't worry too much about it - it'll probably be fine on them. I have found XP in particular to be somewhat variable, shall we say, in it's session handling... if possible, do a test on the deployment server.

As i am expecting this error "Validation (Internet Explorer 6): Attribute 'MS_POSITIONING' is not a valid attribute of element 'body'."and also while iam switching to design mode then on all the controls "Error Creating Control" is visible. Can anyone provide solution for this one.

Did you import the code into Visual Studio from a different program, or an earlier version of Visual Studio?
I think that it was VS 2003 that supported absolute positioning of controls in the designer, a feature that was later dropped. Markup code from such a project would contain non-standard attributes that would show up as invalid in the validation in VS 2008.
