i'm using jquery.history to manage history with ajax page i'm using this script

it works on firefox not in IE have anyone idea why i press back button nothing happens although in firfox it navigate in history

Hi,
I have one table in database to store the checkboxes data,
ID Selection

2 bb
3 cc
the availabe choices are aa, bb, cc, dd. these choices are text to the check boxes. How to save the data in the above table for the check boxes which are selected?

In my gridview one column is displaying the long text. For this long text, I want to display the first 50 characters, after that 50 characters display elipssis(...). When clicking on elipsis, display the long text completely. How to do this?

Many way to solve this problem.
1. In SQL select statement use the Declare variable with 50 length. and assign db value to that variable. and bind the same variable to grid(do string.concat(variable,"...").
2. At DataAccess layer, bind your entity variable with substracted value of DB value.

Comment on Correction. Store it on a Session Variable and Clear it when you are done with it.

Just store it in a session and then retrieve on postback.

If you mean that you want to put the password back into a password input field after postback, that is not possible. You can't set the value of the field programmatically, neither in the html code nor using client script. The only way that anything is put in the field is by user input.
You can keep the entered password in a session variable, but you have to show it in another way on the page. You can for example show a text like ******* representing an entered password, and if the user clicks on the text to change it, you can display a password field.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

I am getting problem in putting text at the cursor location in freetext box which is place in a Place holder and .

It is successfully working in Mozilla But in Internet Explorer showing the below error.
(Internet explorer cannot open the internet site-operation aborted).
Already I wasted one Day for this but i Couldn't find the exact solution .

i'm using sqldatasource in order to search a table item with the column name.
I want to search Name column for any word containing any letter found in the text box control.
I tried to write the following:
SELECT Name, Email FROM Item WHERE CONTAINS (Name , @Name)
The following error appears:
Cannot use a CONTAINS or FREETEXT predicate on table or indexed view 'Item' because it is not full-text indexed.
could you please help me.
