Sounds like you have no idea on ASP.NET. In ASP.NET, you don't need to instantiate webforms to show them. Just redirect to the page using Response.Redirect

You are right about response.redirect. But i think you didn't understand my question. Actually webform1.aspx is not in web site project. it is in web application project. I have added reference of web application project in my web site project. Is there any solution?

I think there is some problem in data from DB.Give some default value to you string.Then if data is coming properly then you will get the result else you'll get default value.

I am in the process of building an ajax enabled web application .net 3.5 coding with C#, And further i want that application to be converted into windows based application. what thing should i keep in mind while developing an web page, so that further i'll be able to convert it to windows based application. Like using which controls and style of coding or any more.....

As per my point of view, you need to consider the layered architecture of your application. UI/Presentation layer should be different . You need to have you own BLL, DAL and Adapter Layer . Maintain the flow of layers.
Now when you developed it in windows, just need to think about only UI , because all other layers should be same.

Follow the layered arcitecture as Abhijit said.In the UI part,Keep in mind the option available in UI and Desktop because ther are some cotrols that are not supported in Web

ASP.NET don't have any inbuilt method to do this. You can keep a database flag indicating the logon status and update it when user logs in/out.

I made a master page with 12 pages which are inheriting the master page .
Everything was going right.Suddenly this error occured when I EXECUTED THE PAGE.
Is it due to antivirus installed on the system.
