I am not sure about your problem. But if you just want to show the hyperlink in gridview then you can use itemtemplete and place the control there.
But if you want to perform some action on click of the hypelink then better you can use link button control. If you just want the user to redirect to another page then hypelink will suffice the need.

Your question is not clear. Please explain it in detail if you are expecting help.

After clicking save button i am inserting data in database.and also clearing the textboxes.now if the user clicks f5 then the page loads again and the click event of the button is fired and again same value gets into the database.

Well, this is because browser keeps the post data in cache. But when you press refresh, browser is asking for a confirmation, right?
To overcome this issue, you can redirect to a separate page which shows some message like "Value inserted successfully". Since the page is moved, browser will clear the post data from it's cache.
Following pseudo code will explain what I meant
void button_click(object sender,EventArgs args)
{
Response.Redirect("success.aspx");
}

In fact if it will be redirected to the same page then also the purpose will be served.

Indeed.

i dont want to do that since i have to display the id from database onto the page.

The id can be passed via query string to the new page. Cross page post back can also be used.
|
|
|
|
|
If you refresh a page that is a result of a postback, the same data will be posted again. That means that the same events fire again.
You can either keep from using postbacks, handle the situation when the event fires again, or don't reload the page to update it.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

Catch this exception and call the requesting function again. Set a counter variable and increment it for each try.

Thanks.But the webservice call failed exception is not catchable in javascript.that was the problem.do post if you know anyother options.

You want to handle multiple records checked in the checkboxes, if so then what you can do is to iterate through the datagrid items and find the checkbox which are checked and then take the actions what you want.

I just wanted to get the checked items added to the realpayer playlist.
Addint to the player list is pbm for me

I am not sure of how to add songs to real player list. What I thought that you just want to get the records selected through checkboxes in datagrid.

My dear friend,
I am not using any AJAX features. What is the alternative idea without using AJAX?

As Navaneeth mentioned in the post before, you could try to use JavaScript. Just follow the link he provided.
|
|
|
|
|
function checkkey1()
{
if((window.event.keyCode>=33 && window.event.keyCode<=47)||
(window.event.keyCode>=58 && window.event.keyCode<=190))
{
window.event.keyCode=0;
}
}
Use keypress event as onkeypress="checkkey1();"
The above code works perfectly in IE

Hi, I am using the forms authentication with users and roles. Iam configuring the web.config files in all the necessary folders together with the global.asax file. These are working fine. the problem is that the Context.User value becomes null when i navigate from the users folder to the administration folder. Any one has a suggestion on why this is happening please and how can it be tackled? thanks
