Where did you add these lines, and why? In the constructor? If yes, then it's no surprise your app crashes - your Calculations instance creates a Window, which creates a Calculations instance, and so on, and then, Wham!
You have to use a better way to pass your form data to Calculations. In fact, creating a new instance of Window1 in Calculations does just that - creates a new instance; you will not be able to access your form's data from that instance.

Okay, I had a whole longer question in here, but I answered it myself (well, I figured it out and once I did, your explanation made sense...I was placing one new Window1() statement in the Calculations class and vide versa rather than individual ones in each method of the given class).

Actually to clarify (in case anyone searches this later with the same question, I ended up using ref to pass get the result I needed. Now everything works beautifully.

You want to do this with C# ? I don't think you can do it at all. The ip address is assigned by whatever network you connect to. 192.168.xx.xx means you're on a local network, I believe, and either way, you will get an available address from the specifically available range, you can't just make one up.

Really not at all sure what you're getting at here.
I think, perhaps, you're talking rubbish. How can a node on a graph be the name of a variable? Doesn't make any sense.

your question, however, makes no sense. Are you doing a programming class ? You'd do better to ask your teacher. He feels he's given you all you need to do the task, and it's valuable for him to know he's failed in this regard, as well as knowing what it is you want to do.

Hi,
I have a Form called Form1 that contain a DataGridView. This is an MDI N-Tier Application. In the Form2 Form_Load event I have a method that executes when the form loads.
How can I NOT execute this event when I click on the "New" menu option?
I tried the following but it does not work:

in my app the cldfrm's MDIparent=this in the main form.when i try to show the chldfrm by using showdialog() i get this exception.
Form that is not a top-level form cannot be displayed as a modal dialog box. Remove the form from any parent form before calling showDialog.
what i want is to stop accessing the main form while the child form is displaying

now again i get another problem, once i set the things like that the chldfrm is not in the MDI scope , means onec u maximize the form it goes beyound the main form frame. means the MDI concept is not working. any suggestions to over come this

Dude you cannot use ShowDialog if you are keeping it as a child form .. .
just go for show();
E.g.
Form2 frm = new Form();
frm.MdiParentForm = this;
frm.Show();

I wrote an article about this here[^]. The solution is to restrict the movement of a dialog form rather than trying to make a dialog form a child which isn't possible.

good day people
so i have a windows service and i want to call a windows form to show (modally) when i run the service, basically i call the method callform() on the onStart method
when i run the service the form starts to load right? so i get this dialog from windows saying it detects a dialog from interactive services or something and i choose to view the message and the screen turns blue and it shows my form, i want the service to show my form but not on that blue screen, but in windows
what should i do? i have no idea how to fix this

Do something else. Services should not interact with the desktop. If you really want to do something like this, you have to have another application that communicates with the service.
