I am owning a HP laptop (dv6700), which I bought last year from US when I was there. I was facing some flickering problem (may be due to some driver problem, I suppose). I took it to a Global??? Service center, which they gave the following reply.
1. The product was not purchased in India, So they wont be able to provide a free service even though it is under extended warranty.Sniff | :^)
2. If they have to provide support, I have to find the equivalent model number available in India.D'Oh! |
3. Finally they suggested a LCD replace and gave a quote slightly less than the laptop cost.Confused |

The customer service is really spoiling brand reputation.
Note: I did a factory restore and get rid of the problemSmile | :)
