Hi
I have a web application that iam running on an intranet, from this web application iam trying to open another access application that is found on the same server where i deployed the web application. I ust want to open the access application and to do that iam using
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.AppSettings.Item("Path"))
in web.config key is:
<add key="Path" value="\\192.168.1.11\Shared\db\bdl_results.mdb"></add>
on my testing machine it is working fine but when i deploy at the customer site i get access denied error. Any ideas and thanks

First of all this will be always execute only on Server.

In local system, you are doing it from VS, and its having it own ASP.NET engine and which has sufficient permission to access, read, write files in your local system.
But when you deployed it on IIS, Its runs on "Network Services" identity, which has minimum privilege to access your system. That is the reason you are getting the error.
Resolution :
1. Give the required privilage to that file.
2. Create Own Application Pool, Change the Identity of Application Pool to "Local System" . Assign the Application Pool to your virtual Directory.
I will suggest you to go with Option 2 
Please let me know if any issue.

Hi,
I have a aspx page, in which a text box will display some text. I have given a Link Button on the same page. When I click Link Button, the text displaying in textbox should copy in to memory. That means its eqalent to Ctrl + C. Copy the text and Ready to Paste anywhere.
Please help me out.

Estoy viendo varias alternativas para poder crear un menu que sea segun la necesidad... o sea si es administrador que cargue y de acceso solo a ciertas paginas, pero lo tengo que hacer dinamico, o sea, desde base de datos...
No soy muy buena en el tema y espero que me puedan entender y ayudar.. estoy trabajando con visual studio.net c# y sql server 2005...

Table User: nombre, nick, password, id_rol (if is admin or other), fecha_ingreso.
Table Rol: id_rol, detalle
Table "Permisos": id_permiso, id_rol, direccion (type int), indice (type int), detalle
The table "permisos" is for construct the menu and to know what pages he can see...
direccion and indice its and order in tree to do my menu...
In this form I need to construct my menu and to verify the acces to my proyect

I want to validate a text box as a date from 01/01/1900 to 12/31/9999. I do the following, but my regular expressions validate from 01/01/1900 to around 2050. Can someone looking into it, where I'm going wrong.

Hi, i wonder a few question about something.
1.in my application, i would like to express that when i click the checkbox,
then show additional xolumns in the grid view.
i embodied coulumns with BoundField with gridview.
and i'd like to allied showing additional columns start with column ship(i.e, From column 'FCST Rev'
To column 'Vendor' are defalut.)
2. in my source, i'd like to combine the headerText.. is it possible function like colspan and rowspan in the girdview?

You question is not clear.
What kind of .bak file you have. Is it SQL server database backup file. If so, Do you want to resore a SQL Server database .BAK file.
Or do you want to upload a .bak file using your web application?

and I have all the javascript functions I need in wcpjs.js. However I get object not found errors. If I replace the src=" ...." part with a test function like "function test(){alert('i hate javascript');}"
then no problem no error.
I have tried using src=\" differentpath\\wcpjs.js\" but to no avail. Still get errors.
Have spent a full day on this now and am   
If anyone can answer this - when I get rich I'll send you some big bucks.

I am creating my own richtext editor. The text will be loaded from database, and user should be able to update and save it back to the database.
when user place the cursor at a text of a 'bold', 'underlined' word, how do I know the text properties? or the start cursor position?

I'm trying to replace some text in a datagrid's textbox on edit. I've done this a thousand times, but I'm not seeing the problem. Stops on "tada" line with Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Any help appreciated.

I think you should break your statements into different parts. Do you feel pressured to stick all those functions on one single line? Doing this will allow you to see the problem more quickly, fix it and move on. This example probably has bugs in it, but try something like this:
