I set up ImageUrl in design time to some image in the App_Data and it is visible in the Design tab in .aspx file.
But as I start the project with F5 to debug, the image is not visible.
Also the other images file paths I set to ImageUrl property are not visible at run time.
What is wrong with Image control?

Nothing Wrong with it
You are putting Images in wrong folder. App_Data is not used for that. Use Separeate Folder (Create Images) and put the images on that folder and Try to access from there.
Thanks.

Why is it not suitable for images? Are there some standard folders for that purpouse?
There are:
App_Code
App_GlobalResources
App_LocalResources
App_WebReferences
App_Data
App_Browsers
App_Themes
From the coding standards point of view, which one is the right?
Actually I put all images into App_Data\Images and then just switch ImageUrl to any of them. But they do not appear at run-time.
Are these folders some kind of forbidden ones to access from web page by means of web controls?

App_Data is used to access the SQL database(or Access if you like more pain ).
You should rather create a new folder, lets say Images and put your image file these.

Why not putting it into session ?
Set Session Like :
Session["LoginID"]= txtLoginId.Text
Retrieve it in different form
string strLoginID=Session["LoginID"].ToString();
Hope this will help you
|
|
|
|

when i use
lblLoginId.Text = Session["LoginID"].ToString();
in other form
than an error occur
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
|
|
|

If (Session["LoginID"] != null)
{
lblLoginId.Text = Session["LoginID"].ToString();
}

Hi.
I'm working on a web application developed using C# that displays an image sent by an windows forms application. The image is 1024*768, 1 byte depth, no compressed. So it uses 786432 bytes. To hold it I have declared a byte[] of this size. I'm new with ASP.NET and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong. I can imagine that if the buffer is allocated on server side, several instances of the web application can suppose a big trouble. Or I'm wrong and the buffer is allocated on client side? Which is the best way of sending the images? Binary streams?
Thanks in advance, Xavier

Dear all,
Am sending this msg regarding asp.net 1.1 email usage.
My code for sending email is below.
The problem it is reaching my inetpub/mailroot/queue instead of actual mail id.
I have seen all my smtp server settings which are using port 25 and localhost as smtpserver.No error nothing.
Can anybody resolve using asp.net 1.1 not with 2.0.
I had the solution for 2.0
Code is on button click event
Dim cdoconfig, cdomessage, sch
sch = "http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/"
cdoconfig = Server.CreateObject("CDO.Configuration")
cdoconfig.Fields.Item(sch & "sendusing") = 2
cdoconfig.Fields.Item(sch & "smtpserver") = "localhost"
cdoconfig.Fields.Update()
cdomessage = CreateObject("CDO.Message")
With cdoMessage
.Configuration = cdoconfig
.From = _txtFrom.Text
.To = _txtTo.Text
.Subject = _txtSubject.Text
.TextBody = _txtMessage.Text
.Send()
End With
cdomessage = Nothing
cdoconfig = Nothing
I tried maximum trails still am not with the right solution.Can nay body tell me if u r free.

There could be many reason in behind.
Kissy16 wrote: which are using port 25
Please check Port is not blocked by firewall.
You can try one thing :
1. Go To > IIS > Default SMTP Server > Properties
2. Go to Delivery Tab
3. Set First, Second, Third, Subsequent Retry Interval To 1
Hope this will resolve your Issue

I am not sure why are you using CDO to do this in .Net.
In .Net 1.1, you should rather use the System.Web.Mail.MailMessage do send email.

1.)You did not even care to put your question properly.
2.)This is not a ASP question.
Now, lets come to the point that what are properties. Here is a good explanation[^].

I dont see any problem in assigning the value to readonly textbox through javascript.
If you could post your code, than I can have another look.

Hi,
Javascript:
function Fun(event)
{
var obj = event.srcElement || event.target ;
var seltreeNode = obj;
textbox.value = seltreeNode.innerHTML;
}
CodeBehind:
treeview.attribure.add("onclick","Fun(event)")
So the Selected Node is copied to the Textbox sucessfully. But if the textbox is readonly=true or Enabled=false i cannot copy the selected node to the TExtbox. How to REsolve this problem.
I think now u will get clarified...
Thanks,
kannak....
