BTW can you speak Irish? The proper stuff I mean. I am reading a book, The Story of English (not as boring as it sounds) and there is a big section on how Gaelic and the Irish have influenced English so much. But then it tells a very sad tale of how Gaelic is pretty much dead and that Irish is not faring much better.

I'm not fluent but I know enough of it to get along in a conversation with a fluent Gáeilge [Irish] speaker. There is a bit of work to do. I'm actually finding it hard to find the time at the moment because of college work and work [paid work... it's a scourge but I need to do it in order to get money to live.. lol!!]. The best thing to do is talk to Chris. We've just taken on a new editor now so I don't know if there is a need for another editor soon but it's best to ask Big Grin | :-D

I was in the "Department of Electronic and Communications Engineering" in Kevin street. I wrote an MS Windows 3.11 device driver for a special network board. That was in 1995.
I enjoyed Dublin really much. The most interesting of it was that I could go out in the evening alone but right before getting my first pint I was already in the middle of something. Amazing Eek! | :eek:
