In the GUI you can only add five IPs per connection, but that limit you can workaround by editing the registry. Just remember that, if you have more than one gateway you'll need to manually edit your routes or install the RIP listener. I currently have 3 servers set up. 1) Application Server (a) 2) File Server (b) 3) Web Server (c) Now between the Web server and the WAN there is a dedicated PC acting as the FIREWALL. Now the thing is I am developing certain applications to communicate between server C and server a. Now server a has 2 network cards 1 being used to connect to the switch that connects server a and b to the rest to the office, and the other network card has a cable running from it ot the C machine as the C machine is on a sperate network than servers a and b. After I used my external hard drive, WD 1TB, to back up everything in the laptop. my external hard drive automatically copy the C, D and E drive and delete the partition that I used to have inside the external drive. I have an abundance of routers that can act as switches if required, but my current setup is as follows: Modem into Linksys Router All devices including server into said router. With this setup, some clients are having trouble resolving host names when connected, and I have trouble connecting to the server from within the network unless I use IP address. I have 2 NICs on the server, so I was thinking that maybe the correct setup would be: Modem into Linksys Router Nic 1 of Server into Linksys Router Nic 2 of server into 2nd router (not sure if it should go in the modem port or normal port) all other devices into 2nd router Maybe config server to act as DNS server I think this may fix my DNS problem, but I'm no expert on these things. I was wondering if there's a way to monitor the incoming requests or current activity of the IIS/asp.net to pin point exactly what website may be causing this high CPU usage. Once there you can set the advanced properties of the device and then you can select the "Speed & Duplex" parameter and set to a value. In my computer it is: 10MB full 10MB half 100MB full 100MB half Auto Shouldn't it be 1000 MB if the network card is a 1GB capable card? I've checked it in several computers of my company and it seems that I can only set it to 10 or 100, but not to 1000... Any idea if it is normal? When your computer boots and your network device drivers have loaded one of the first things that occurs is the autonegotiation process[^]. If the device driver has determined that 1000GB speeds are not possible it removes the option by setting/removing some internel capability flags. 1.) Make sure your network card supports gigabit ethernet. 2.) Check that your cables are category 6 or above[^]. 3.) Network device configuration Luc Pattyn9-Sep-09 13:33 Luc Pattyn 9-Sep-09 13:33  to get 1Gbps you must adapt some routers and cables. computers with 1Gbps capability can communicate at 1Gbps only if all routers and cables on their direct path are capable of 1Gbps. It does not make any sense to have computers with 1Gbps capability unless the cables and routers they connect to don't have the same capability (one normally first switches the routers and their backbone, not the computers). You can mix fast and slow computers on a fast router and get 1G between 1G-computers, and less when slower computers are involved. and you can keep slow routers to connect slow computers to the network.
