Don't give me that "use the remove message" lame suggestion. I cannot use that link to ban an idiot. Now someone asked a generic networking question, and "demands" an answer. A regular points out that he shouldn't ask a n/w query in C++ board, he basically asks the regular to f*** off. Now, I want the staff to f*** him off this board.

I agree with you that the post was poor in tone, and got the polite teasing it deserved. I think it deserved low voting, not marked as abuse.
His follow up to the teasing *was* abuse, and I voted it as such. I presume others will agree, and he will be policed.
I think it's too much to expect Chris to ban idiots from CP. He needs *some* sleep!
And also against the banning, this certain user did actually help someone else on the same forum page in a polite and useful manner.
Just agree with him when he's right, and mark him down when he's being high and mighty - and vote as abuse when he's way over the line - from memory 13 people agreeing with that = post removal.

I was a bit angry when I made the post. Yes, yes. There's no need to ban a person the first time he offends. I think that I should make my points clear.
A moderator won't "ban" an user (of course repeated offenders should be banned). However, he will have offensive posts removed, and warn the offender. He will be able to move posts to a more appropriate forum (in this particular case, it could have prevented the whole drama).
A moderator would have the authority to remove duplicate posts and reposts (made within minutes - I'm sure you'd have noticed). And other things, that would enable the smooth running of forums. I'll make a detailed post later on this forum, creating a new thread explaining my ideas on this.

Hi Rajesh,
I fail to see that me suggesting the community use the tools it has at its disposal to manage situations like this is a lame suggestion. I understand you're frustrated, but honestly - how many times do you see a poster demand a question, and how many times do you see a post posted in the wrong forum? Do you honestly expect me to delete every user who does this? That is not a scalable solution.
What you are seeing is the reason you are now providing feedback on the new Quick Answers system. If this user posted this question in that system someone would either edit out the offending text or completely ignore him and his question would drop like a stone. I think that's a better solution than simply deleting a member who has actually given a fair bit to give to the community.

That's what I find surprising; this is someone who's been around quite a while and posted 10 articles, so he should be fully aware of the protocols here. Are you sure he is the original user of this ID, as some of his questions imply a newbie?

Confirmed Email. Due to the hamster revolution and the uncertainty of the process completing, I did this 3 times and only the last completed at my end. Looks like they all worked at yours.

Can somebody in CP Admin give the servers an extremely hard kick. The slowness of CP at the mo is such that CP may as well not be here. It is totally unusable.

There was a hamster rebellion, but the CP overlords have crushed it, and had the Hamster leaders put up against a wall and shot.
