I think It should be OnClientClick , Not OnClick . And Set Target="Blank".

Hi to All
I just wanted to know what is the control actually we should use, to have something like
1. scrapbook of orkut...where we can have picture, text etc for every users or many users...
2. like the one in codeproject...where we all submit question..then answers in hierarchical way..
is it a data grid?
-----------------------------
I am a beginner

I don't know if I am interperting the question correctly, but on occasion for projects that involve having different pictures and text for users/products I use a panel or div control and then just dynamically place the controls per each data row in there.
So, assume I have a panel control named "panel1" on the aspx file, I would then use something like this in my code behind:
DataReader dr1 = Connection1.Read()
While (dr1.Read)
{
Image pictureBox1 = new Image();
TextBox tb1 = new TextBox();
pictureBox1.ImageURL = dr1["imageLocation"].toString();
tb1.Text = dr1["textBlurb"].toString();
panel1.Controls.Add(pictureBox1);
panel1.Controls.Add(tb1);
}
Then I just work on formatting the layout using the css.
Hope this helps!

Hello people.
I'm using something like
TextReader sr = new StreamReader(HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~/foo/" + xslFile));
The problem is that this file includes or imports other xsl files for example (../foo2/bar.xsl or even foobar.xsl)
and asp reports that
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\bar.xsl'
Any ideas please?
Thank you in advance!

What ideas do you need? The message clearly states that it cannot find a particular file, so you need to investigate either - a) why that file does not exist in the specified location, or
- b) why that file is being referenced in your xslt.

Do you think that it's normal to search the xsl file inside in the c:\windows\system32 directory?
the file is referenced because it has to.But it's referenced like "../foo.xsl" and not inside c:\windows\system32.
I have read that .net's default dir is c:\windows\system32,so there's something that i'm missing.
BTW thanks for answering!

If that's a default search location for these files, then yes.
tasoss wrote: But it's referenced like "../foo.xsl" and not inside c:\windows\system32.
But the file that could not be found is 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\bar.xsl', which is different. The "../foo.xsl" reference is a file in the directory above the one where the source files are stored and presumably does exist.
I still think you need to investigate what I suggested in my previous message, whether this file exists and if not why it is being referenced.

I guess you want to close the Popup window.
Try something like this
var v= window.open(....);
v.close()
Or
Self.close() on the popup pge. Not in main page;

window.opener = "some text about the page";
window.close();
Now it wont ask you that prompt

Hi bros,
I want to close the calling page itself.Not the pop up page. just like "this.close()" in windows applications.I just used only Close() in one java script method.and the pop up coming is not a new page , its like a messagebox.
With warm regards.

Cannot do much about it. It is the browser's property. Earlier you could have done this by setting window.opener and then closing the window. But now, you cannot. Check http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/aa740486.aspx link. It says the same.

How this question is related to ASP.Net?
|
|
|
|

You need to study Infix to Postfix to evaluate this in C#...
Well Its surely not related to ASP.NET.
