There must be a unified channel. Place each of those data into database and access data for both the solution to the same database. Thus giving a way to communicate.
In case of chat rooms, each of users connect to server to a specified id(chat room id) and whenever an update to the dataset takes place, updates are sent to each of them.
You might ping the server using AJAX call and see if any update is available to that id and update UI accordingly.

I have a following structure
App_Code
MyClass.cs [Company.MyNameSpace.MyClass]
Bin
MyLib.dll [Company.MyLibNameSpace.LibraryClass]
From Company.MyLibNameSpace.LibraryClass I need to create an instance of Company.MyNameSpace.MyClass , but I don't know Class name until execution (it comes from XML configuration), so I use Reflection for it:
Type type = Type.GetType("Company.MyNameSpace.MyClass")
The problem is, that when I load a Type from DLL, it doesn't work (type == null), when I do the same from another .cs file in App_Code folder, everything works fine. Is there any work-around to this problem?

I've got ASP.NET web application which uses native DLL in C++ wrapped in C# using PInvoke.
Native DLL needs read/write access to specific folder in site location on hdd.
How to enable it?
e.g. in ASP.NET to enable C# write access to specific folder it needs to allow user to have write access to that folder from folders properties.
with native dll that does not work.

I guess it's related to CAS!

If I run site from VS, native dll has r/w access and works. It should be some security then

When a node in a treeview is clicked, a SelectedNodeChanged event is fired if and only if the node that is clicked is not the same node as the previously selected one. However, if I click on a node that is already selected this event is not fired. Does anybody know how I can find out the node that I had clicked on in this instance.
I can use javascript to trap the onClick event but I still don't know how I can find out which node I clicked, in particular, the ValuePath property of the node.
Thanks, in anticipation.

Deal all,
I have a method in my aspx.cs file say methodone,which will be called from one of the event or method from the same aspx.cs file...
So what access specifier i can give for that method.I am thinking private is enough for my requirement. AM i correct / wrong? Please provide your views...
Thanks,

If you want to access the method from your html page, you need to make it at least Protected.
I mean if you write
<asp:textbox OnClick="txt_Click" runat="server" />
the txt_click should be made at least protected. Privates cant be used in events.
If you are just calling the method from the class itself, you can use Private.

I've got in EditItemTemplate text box bound to specific field:
<asp:TextBox ID="textName" runat="server" Text="<%# Bind('Name') %>"></asp:TextBox>
How to get its corrected value in RowUpdating event?
In GridViewUpdateEventArgs NewValues, OldValues and Keys are 0 element arrays???

Hi,
I am generating an table in code behind and i would like to get it's HTML code so i can include it into an email,
But it doesn't have an innerhtml property.
Thanks

Are you using HtmlTable class to make your table ?
If so use
StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
StringWriter tw = new StringWriter(sb);
HtmlTextWriter hw = new HtmlTextWriter(tw);
yourtable.RenderControl(hw);
Now sb will hold the rendered output.
Hope this is what you wanted.

StringWriter and HtmlTextWriter are disposable. It is a good practice to wrap inside using block when working with disposable objects to avoid resource leaks.
