I have double checked that whenever I add a new record into dataset gives the correct values as record number (primary key). However, the combobox which I bind to this table doesn't give the right correct values (VALUEMEMBER) when it gets populated from the table.

Second row returns 110 which actually must return 105.

What a curious mind needs to discover knowledge is noting else than a pin-hole.

Have you got the correct Runtime installed on the other machines? the most likely problem.

You're going to have to explain what you mean by "not working". Got any error messages or the circumstances under which it does and does not work?? How about what is supposed to happen and what actually happens??

what is the runtime error number/description?

Have you tried to step through the code in debug mode to determine where the exception is triggered.

A, B and C are all Byte

200+100 > Byte max resulting in an overflow.

Here's the answer in C#:

CultureInfo ci = CultureInfo.CreateSpecificCulture("hi-IN");
string converted = 1234567m.ToString("N", ci);

Or in VB.NET:

Are your tables you refer to in a dataset?

If so then you can bind the datasource/member properties of the combo box to the table 1.

Then just use an insert/update to table 2 based on the selecteditem in the combobox.

Your question is not very good.

You cut the items from where? what are you expecting it to decode to? what does the original data refer to?

Hello experts.

I am stuck on something.

I have an external file whihc i am read/writting to it, that bit i can do however, what i really need to be able to do is split the document up.

At the moment i have one big text box with lots of data in it, what i need to do is split that data up and put the data into seperate textboxes,

i thought i could do this with a FOR and NEXT loop however that doesn't seem to work

Here's my code
