I have very simple statements which popsup a menu
as bellow

every time i click on "Click here" which displays popupmenu it suddenly hides, I debugged the statements and I got that every time the function hidemenu() is executed. as I am assigning hidemenu function to body click event which means, If i click at body the popupmenu should hide, but the question is here, If i am clicking at "Click here" why the hidemenu is called, or how I can hide the popupmenu.
simply, when I click at click here the popup should appear but when i am clicking at other places the popup should hide, how to achive it in above?

Because, Click here is a part of the page body (its in it!)

On body click, call a javascript method where you can check if the click was on 'Click Here' div tag, if so, dont do anything or else hide it.

Hi,
I am creating a TCP Chat application using Asynchronous method calls and I have created 2 applications, one of which is a mobile app that runs on a PDA and the other on a desktop pc.
At the moment i can send text back and forth but i would like to send emoticons too. I am using a richtextbox, how could i go about doing this?
I would appreciate your thoughts and advice.

How about using some textual representation of the emoticon? Suppose you have a  , you could encode this image as :-D, and a  encoded as :-@. Replace the string with the images before display, and replace the images with their respective codes when you want to send/save the message.
Would be somewhat similar to coding your own "escape characters".

I find the repetition of sets of controls for each of the EditItemTemplate, InsertItemTemplate, and ItemTemplate templates of a FormView to be tedious and risky, in terms duplicating layout and code etc. I would much rather create a xxxDetails user control, and use this in each template, cutting layout and code location down to one location.
However, this introduces several complexities for data binding scenarios. Are there any extablished patterns or practice guides for using user controls in these scenarios?

uploadImage method in js. this method Asynchronous upload image.

but I changed:

Clean the solution, rebuild it... if using IIS, then reset it.
Clear browser cache... run the application after all this...

I have hosted my website on server is lying in USA. I have used system.Datetime.Now() for date operations, whereas my clients are from india and it shows me around 12 hours difference. How can i map this time zone? I don't want to store the client's machine time but only server end time.
Please help me.

Hi,
I am deploying a ASP.Net webservice(the webservice acts in pull mode) in c#. In the webservice i am providing a database connection to the postgressql server and i am also using prepared statements.
I also tried to used singleton pattern, to make efficient use of the prepared statements(i.e to prepare the statements only once through out the webservice). Now the problem i am getting is, all the prepared statements(sql commands) are becoming null and returning an exception "the connection is not open" upon each invocation of the webservice by the client.
So, is there any methodology to make efficient use of the prepared statements in the webservice.

Hello, this is Vikash Gohil.
I have a developed a Web Application whereby i need to print a report from my application.
The printer is installed on Client PC and is shared on the network.
I have installed the printer on the Web Server.
The Code I use is:
report.PrintOptions.PrinterName = "\\PCName\PrinterName"
report.PrintToPrinter(1,false,1,1).
Now the problem I am facing when given print from Web Server is as below:
When I give command for Printing a Test Page, it prints properly.
When I give Print command from a Word, PDF etc documents, it still prints properly.
But When I give Print Command using above code from My Web Application (ie from Browser Window), it displays a error Message on the PC on which Printer is Attached.
Spoolsv.exe Application Error
Message : "The Instruction at "0x500a0330" referenced memory at "0x00000000". This memory could not be read.
Anyone has any idea why I am getting this message when printing from my Application and not while printing normally.
Do I have to Set any other permissions for the Printer on the Server, eg. permissions for IIS to Print from that printer or permissions for ASPNET user for the printer.
Please Anyone could suggest me some thing in this regards.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a query.
The article says of mapping the network printer on the Server and to do this we have to make changes in registry.
I want to know how mapping of printer is done and what changes do I have to make in registry so that the Web Server has full rights for network printer.
Can you please provide me guidance in this issue.
