Hi All,
I am looking for suggestions;
These are my requirements;
1)I need a chat to be integrated to my website(ASP) where in the admins(we have around 5) will able to see other users(around 60) but the other users will be able to see only the admins.
The basic idea is the users should not chat with each other.
2)I am ready to pay for this component.
3)I checked eTalkUp.The issue is i dont know whether i can customize this chat as per my requirement (1).They will only answer technical details once we pay up.I dont want to pay up if my specific requirement wont be met.
4)Does anyone in this forum have any experience with eTalkUp?.Will we be able to implement my requirements in eTalkUp.
5)Is their any other chat component i can buy or download and integrate to my website that will meet my requirement (1).

Hi all, I'm running Asp.Net 2.0 Application. I have only one instance of the application in the Server. There is an occasional problem where data for one logged in user gets the data from another logged in user in the Mail Content.
Please suggest me solution.

When are you getting one users session into other.
Which browser you are using is it IE , in side by side tabs?
Browser tabs will shared the same session, you have to be careful on that.

It is happening occasionaly. The Mail Content and the Email address are correct. But the Mail Name is coming wrong. We are using IE6 browser. There is no Tabs.

Hi Rathika,
Where you are storing Mail name, are you updating session everytime with latest details.
check properly whether session is updating with latest details, try to debug.
And also explain the scenario when exactly you are facing this problem.

As you are saying it is occasional, it means your application having issue with Session. Check a) when the session is getting time out. b) Is there any chance to recycling Application Pool.
If those thing are fine, then you need to gothrough again to your code.

hai all,
I have a gridview having edit button for updating a single column in my grid.
Suppose i have 10 rows and having 3 columns.I am updtin 3rd column only.
per row the 3rd column shd be unique.
I want to check if the data exists for that column already if i click on edit button it shd not change into updatecancel.

There is no any in-built functionality to check the duplication at the
time of updating row.
On GridView1_RowUpdating event when you try to update your data to database,
you need to check the duplication manually.
So if there is duplication, you can simply avoid update and give proper message
or take action accordingly.

It is only possible if you either purchase license version of fusion chart
or edit swf file and remove it manually.
However, it is illegal to use fusion chart in such way.

Hi All,
I am showing some data in my web page which is coming from database sql.
When i exec proc in database then it shows 128 records but when i try to show data in web page on click of button then it does not get data. it still shows page is loading in task bar.
what could be the problem?

Your application does not connect to db wheather u get a Timeout error.
Please check that........

It may not be problem with SP.
It can be problem with connection string , passing wrong number or type of parameters to sp.

Is your connection to the database successful?
What is the error message that the browser shows?
Can you debug the application? If yes, check where are you getting the error and give details.

In my application,i have many web pages. When certain conditions are met, i want to disable all the controls in the web page.
The problem is that when contorls are disabled, it is grayed out and users find difficulty to read the data in controls (textbox, radiobuttonlist, checkboxlist,drop down). Is there any solution to allow controls look as they are enabled even in disabled state.
Any help appreciated..............

Make Control Readonly property =true on page load.
Ex txtAddress.ReadOnly=true; on page_load

Thank you for your reply. Its a advertisement. click-in is that the users are coming to our site by clicking(or using) other sites. click-out is that the users are going to other sites by clicking (or using) our site. Thats it. For this i need some basic ideas on implementation.
