Just to let you know when you sent the email it actually went to another address because I had already changed it.

seems bookmarking and being bookmarked now yields rep points.
1.
An article being bookmarked yielding author points sounds OK. However I haven't noticed any sudden rise in points, I know John did. Having around 300 bookmarks on my articles, I'm sure I would feel the sudden arrival of some 3000 points.
2.
Bookmarking something now yields 10 Organizer points, that is 10 times more than any other organizational action. This is complete nonsense IMO, for several reasons:
- how is bookmarking much more important than voting something up?
- how is bookmarking much more important than reporting inappropriate material?
- how is bookmarking one's own stuff worth anything? is it any relevant to the community?
3.
Once again it is unclear whether a rep color factors in, and if so, which one.

I suggest they start awarding extra Org points for participating in the suggs&bugs forum.
Say 1 point for each suggestion/bug entered, and one more for each day it remains unresolved.

Somewhat agreed. +10 is on a higher side. Though:

Assuming, bookmarking does not use 'rep color' factors and is a fixed +10, it's not as important as a Vote which varies from 10-40 based on rep color.

It's an appreciation kind of for a good article. I found lots of times users just bookmark good articles and don't vote. Bookmarking does show a value to an article.
Giving more points to something which show's more value looks okay to me compared to giving less points to something that is inappropriate and will be removed after screening and not accessible anymore.

With you on this. Bookmarking own article should not give points. Voting own article has a reason but I too don't find any good reason to give points for bookmarking own article.

This surely is unknown/confusing if it is in play. Though, for now, it looks to me that it's fixed.

Further, adding to what you are proposing, what about:
1. if a valid bug is reported, OP should get some credit?
2. if a suggestion is good, OP should get some credit?

I agree to this. Even i can't able to accept myself as a platinum member in Organizer(Today accidentally noticed my profile) . For Bookmarking, we may give 1 point which is enough like other minor things.

Does an up-vote give you +10 rep points? If so a bookmark should also give you the same since it's kinda equivalent to an up-vote.

No, organizer actions yield 1 point, except the new bookmark action, which is 10 points.
And that is for articles, tips, forum messages, whatever (including your own).
Downvoting something once yielded 1 org point, and got abused by some; therefore is has been totally abandoned, which was the wrong decision IMO.
The new invitation for abuse is: post 1,000 drivel messages and bookmark them all, that yields 10K org points. Remember: you get what you reward.

We'll make it so you don't get points for bookmarking your own. I've also adjusted points a little.
Overall: yes, any system can be gamed in any number of ways. This ism't, however, going to stop me looking for ways to reward hardworking members with awesome articles.

No problem, as long as you don't equally or more reward things that are very easy to do, not worth much, and shouldn't be rewarded at all.
Bookmarking someone else's messages is in fact easier than creating and bookmarking your own. So I don't think bookmarking a message should yield anything, and certainly no more than simply upvoting it. If you must, this is a rare situation where I would put a time-based cap. Say reward no more than 5 bookmarks a day (per member obviously).

Cool. Btw I don't see any change in my organizer score. Is there a background task that updates the score when you change the scoring pattern?.

We need to do a full repopulate of the data. Ironing out the last few issues at the moment. We'll then do a test run, do some sanity checks, make sure Luc's and John's rep values are wildly change in inconsistent ways, then deploy to everyone else.
