Nope, you are not wrong. I don't see even high rep people having an access to delete Tip/Tricks. Just verified, if I can or cannot. Further, I remember, some thread where it was confirmed that nuking some person or deleting/removing an article/blog/tip-trick would be handled by CP staff and even high-rep people would not be given such powers. One can surely report if needed, which we all can do irrespective of rep-power.

OK, that's what I thought.
I just hope OP gets an answer. It troubles me that someone would take the time to submit an article, and then have it removed without notification. That's even worse than the downvoting I hate.
As I recall, people have complained about this before, but there was always an email in the spam folder that had been overlooked.

The article is not deleted, it's in composing status. We sent an e-mail to you recommending that it would fit better as a Tips & Tricks post, gave you instructions on how to post it there, and offered to post it for you. It seems that e-mail went astray
I would still be happy to post your submission in your Tips & Tricks if you were agreeable to that idea

If someone's submission fits better as a Tips & Tricks post than an article, the comments and votes are typically unkind.
Perhaps when the "convert to tip" becomes available the views can carry over. I'll suggest it

Yeah but this one was rated quite high (based on Google cache). Also it was not that small either. There are smaller articles on this site. But yeah, people can be pretty asinine when it comes to commenting on other people's articles, so I get what you mean

Yes, every time an article is deleted an e-mail should be sent. It is possible he didn't get that e-mail
Moving forward, we'll make it a policy for editors to enter a note as to why an article was deleted, if that article has been around awhile (like this one)
Also, the article is restored, I don't see what was wrong with it

The main home page of CodeProject doesn't seem to be working.
I have tried F5 and CTRL-F5 just in case but to no avail. I noticed it yesterday when the Lounge Latest List wasn't updating when new posts where submitted. Left it over night, but it is still the same this morning.

it was actually the first article updated on 20th Feb.
In the Lounge list, top item is;

Thats from Ages ago.......
And my filter list is set for all topics.

I'm getting the same, the lounge latest list hasn't updated in over 20hrs and the list of articles always starts with "A Type-safe Generic Pointer".

Reading through Q&A, and voting, seems to be a bit underappreciated.
Some people put a lot more effort into answering questions than many OPs’ seems to put into both posting their initial questions and responding politely by voting, and possibly marking the questions as answered.
Answerers often get down voted just because the OP didn’t like the answer, not because the answer was wrong.
At other times several members answers the same question, giving similar answers at the same time. If I think their right, I feel that giving “my 5” to all of them is the respectful and proper thing to do.
If I just wanted to collect points, I could stick to just answering questions, largely by practicing my google-fu skills.
So please let us show our appreciation of the efforts made by other members without banging our heads into restrictions on voting to often

BTW I totally agree. I often specifically spend some time going through answers and voting 5s for the good ones. And I've often noticed that you do that too.
I think doing that is equally important as it helps future readers of these threads to identify the better answers, recommended by people who know better.
So thanks a lot for your efforts Espen, both in providing good answers, and in voting up the better answers from other people.
