If you cannot find anything that you consider "beginner" level, then I think you need to start with some introduction type books, as it would seem you are still at a very early stage of learning. Articles on this site tend to assume that you know the basics of the language you are interested in.

Seeing the thread I'd recommend a book first.
Internet is difficult if you're starting from scratch. I would recommend a good book and come here when you have an exercise that isn't going as you expect. Once you've got the hang of it, the articles will make more sense.

Where "beginner" means what exactly?
Have you programmed in any other language?
Do you know how the operating system works? For example do you you know how to find a file using directories? Do you know what a windows service is? Do you know what an executable is? Do you know what a dll is?
Are you a logical thinker? (As a real example of that do you find geometry or classical logic proofs to be easy?)
If you can't answer any of the above yes then really the best way to start is with a teacher in a class room. The problem is that there are so many tiny details in just getting a program initially that it will be very frustrating with the time delay that one experiences via forums and additionally explaining the problem can be difficult.

Yes, in a few. Pascal, C, C++, VB, (Asembler), Delphi

I've spent my time with a teacher in classroom, now it's time for something more individual.

Hi, Finding where something is, here, on CodeProject, is really helped by learning to use CodeProject's Search functionality.
Would be very valuable for you to spend a small amount of time exploring that Search functionality, imho.
You might start with searches for things like "Tutorials" in some area you are interested in, like:
WinForms C# Tutorial
You'll note that each Forum here has both a Search tool limited to that specific Forum, and, at the top of each CP web-page, is the global Search tool.

As people have said a book is a good start, personally I liked the Wrox Begining series, they had quite reasonable code tasks and a informative set of questions at the end of the chapter...

I am developing a console application using C# to automate Print Job for a bulk of documents. Below I am mentioning my plan for developing and my approach.
Algorithm:
1)Fetch list of documents.
2)Process the document list one by one.
a)Launch the Application.
b)Wait till the application launched perfectly.
c)Fire the Print Job.
d)Wait for Print dialog appear.
e)Fire "ENTER" key press event.
f)Wait till spooling finish.
g)Close the document and application.
3)Update the XML with Print job info.

Now the problem is for waiting case I am blindly using Thread.Sleep(With Few seconds), which is not Ideal. So I need to know How I'll fix these issues using White Framework in C#.
Can anybody help me to fix this issue please. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi guys,
I need some help on looking for references in building a complex text/code editor, not just a simple one that you can only write and read plain text. What I'm actually aiming for is a text editor with Line Numbers display on the side and word specific coloring and lexing. Simply put, like a notepad++ or a dreamweaver style of text/code editor. And I want to build it on C#.
I won't exactly ask for codes, but some samples would really be a great help. Something I can base my work on, concepts, etc. I just really need something to start to. Any help is appreciated. Thank you so much.

Do a search here for richtextbox control, this is the base control you are probably going to be using and there are plenty of references. You should also identify the UI platform you are going to be using, winforms/WPF/Silverlight/ASPX as this will be important.

All such editors that I know of rely on embedded, non-printing codes to delimit the regions affected by special effects. As Sherlock's smarter brother indicated, a good starting point will be researching the rich text control. But if you want to add capabilities not found elsewhere, you'll want to begin compiling a list of effects you want to produce and assign tags that won't conflict with any already in use.

Have you checked outC# Open Source?. Also WPF would be way cooler than Winform. The learning curve will be worth your time as you're also developing skills in Silverlight and WP7 at the same time.

There's some interesting material ... somewhere ... on the text editor used in SharpDevelop (open source .Net IDE). It might be in a book that my dad has that I borrowed briefly, but see if searches on that topic help you.
I don't think I'd recommend starting from the rich text box, getting that to do what you want is quite hard and it isn't really designed for this kind of thing. I would start completely from scratch with a UserControl, if you're doing it as an exercise for yourself (if not, just find and use an existing component with a license that allows you to do so, since it's quite a large block of work however you go about it).
