On laptops, I almost certainly had to scroll to use the Post Message button. Thanks to the auto preview, I definitely have to scroll, even on desktop monitors.
Can you put a duplicate Post Message button at the top, above/near the Subject?
Google does this on their search results page, with a text box and search button at the top *and* bottom of the page.

My concern with this is for new members posting and not reviewing what they post, or not seeing their options and making a mess.
Do you think this could be an issue?

Did you mean to address this to the other thread? (Asking to disable the preview.)
If yes - by all means, enable the preview by default. I am happy to switch it off myself.
If not - I don't see how a second Submit / Post Message button would cause issues with reviewing their post?
For instance, I am replying to your post with a maximized IE8 running on 1280 x 1024, and I have to scroll the mouse down 3 units before I can see the Post Message button.

No - I meant that if the 'post message' button is at the top then they are less likely to scroll below to see their posting options and preview, potentially causing gnashing of teeth.
We didn't have preview last week and we managed to hobble along OK. I just want to ensure we don't do anything rash Or rasher. Bacon like. Nothing bacon-like should happen here.

Thanks, I like the placement, better than what I had imagined!
Embarrassingly, I posted another bug just minutes back and didn't notice the new button then. Only saw it after I read your post.
How about disabling the preview?

The preview is impressive, no doubt.
Having said that, I find it distracting, can you please include an option to disable it? It pushes the Post Message button even further down and necessitates scrolling, especially on laptops.

I can't seem to vote on Questions and Tips, because the button to the right of the radio buttons has disappeared, apparently off right side of the panel. The Article and Message voting seems to be working just fine, as usual.
I'm using FF, but it does the same on IE 9.

Chris, maybe it hasn't been patched yet, but I'm not seeing any difference. I still can't vote on the main article and it appears that the Vote button is pushed off the right side of the panel.

Now I can see about 80% of the Vote button under Tips using FF and all of the button using IE9, but the Vote button is still not visible under the Questions using either browser.

OK, there is no Vote button showing at all on the Questions, just the radio buttons bracketed by the thumbs up and down. Now it submits the vote as soon as I select a radio button, with no chance to add a comment or select a different button.
Is that normal?
The layout on the Tips looks great now! Thanks.

Well, I can vote, but there is no Vote button for the Questions section. When I select a radio button (1 - 5) it votes immediately without even asking for a comment. No problem, since I can add a comment.
Is that what it should be doing?

The new reply screens for the forums is really excellent; another great piece of work by the team.
