How do you know that the discussions in the Chinese and Indian forums are of the general kind? Since there's only one forum for each language, simply "<language> Forum" would make a more correct title.

The various editors that are currently in place for writing messages answers, etc, are driving me crazy. Moving the mouse outside the edit field causes the text to scroll to the top of the message being type. Please put it back to the way it was and stop hholding our hands while we type. I know you guys are trying to make the site better, but this crap is really starting to PISS ME OFF. It's almost IMPOSSIBLE to type a message.
I liken the automatic paste detection to that MS Word abomination, "Clippy".

I have tried and tried and cannot for the life of me replicate what you are seeing. Walk me through it, please. My understanding is
In IE7 or 8:
- you type a message that's more than 1 line, and, say, more than 1 page. The mouse is at the bottom of the text
- you move the mouse outside the message edit box (and click elsewhere on the form our outside the browser window?) and the text box scrolls so that you are now viewing the first line. Is the cursor also being moved?
This is a bug or it's an issue with your setup. I can be nasty and vindictive, but even this is beyond my evil schemes. I'll work to make life less unpleasant.

You're not crazy, at least in this regard. I was experiencing the same thing for a while when in IE9. Doesn't seem to happen now though.

I've had this in IE9 on Win 7. I pasted a code block in Q&A, then selecting one the pre-tag variants (c#/c++ etc) and the pre tags ended up at the start of the text. It doesn't happen each time (though it has happened more than once), to be honest I thought I'd clicked the mouse button by mistake, leaving the cursor at the top of the text box. The text box had several lines in it(my reply to c# related query and problem regarding functions in classes[^] in fact) if that helps you replicate the problem.

I think some of this is browser specific weirdness. I can't replicate your scroll to the top problem at all in FF5. But after any paste triggering the popup my cursor ends up at the bottom of the edit field.
Wierdly when I was pasting "test\r\n" to test this the popup did not appear if I was pasting to a blank line, but did when I was pasting to the end of an existing line of text.

In my Rep history, I'm getting download points for files I didn't download, and when I click on the file that was downloaded, it takes me to a Q/A answer I posted.
The files it shows as being downloaded are:
