I'm curious about what 'Whacked' actually means.
When I'm spammed I'll dissuade them from trying again by using an SMTP mailer that will loop and restate my request as many times as I wish (each w/a different return address and slightly different subject and body). Usually it's something like "If ten requests isn't enough, I can send a lot more" - making sure, first, that the sender is actually the sender and not itself a faked innocent's address. It works well for getting someone too lazy to remove me from their list to decide it's less work to do so.
So how do you whack-a-mole?

In this case, I use my awesome prowess and reputation to click the Report Spammer option. Unfortunately, you have to be above a certain rep level to even see this link.

Voting like a corpse in Chicago helps too. Most of my rep is from lounge blather, but 100 days of 25 lounge votes will get platinum organizer. Spraying votes across the rest of the site could accomplish the same in a few weeks.

I just noticed while looking for Best VB.Net Articles of September[^] that it showing an article[^] that is already a prize winner in month of July 2011 and its posted date is 2 Sep,2011. 
Is this a bug or I am still dreaming?

That survey doesn't start until October, but when the time comes to pick the actual articles to vote on only September articles will be included.

If you look at the article the first posted date is 2 Sep 2011 but actually it is winner in July 2011 competition. Seems to be first posted is showing wrong.

Look at the revision history, first post was in july, so something is a miss.
|
|
|
|
|
The author requested his article be removed temporarily while making some updates. I suspect that once the article was returned online it went into "pending" status. Then once the pending status article is approved the first posted date changes. We'll look into it more closely to uncover precisely what happened and find a solution to prevent it happening again.

Seems that the Q&A is extremely slow and every now and then I get no results for example when trying to see new questions. The only message is:
"Sorry, no entries were found." (kinda hard to believe...)
Same kind of symptoms if I randomly open a question or profile: "Sorry, the item you requested could not be found."
This doesn't seem to be related to a single server since at least web22-24 all give this response occasionally.

I think the whole site seems slower tonight......maybe something to do with the 109,223 online! Think thats the highest i've seen it.

Good point! Didn't notice that. Now it's dropped to 64k and things are lot, lot faster.

Hi,
I'm currently waiting on approval for my first submission and it would have been nice for me to be able to see how many approval votes it has gained so far (forgive my newbie eagerness).
I would expect any rejection votes to be accompanied by feedback but i have no way of telling whether the lack of feedback is because it doesn't need improvement (and that last approval vote is incoming any second now) or because no-one has got around to looking at it yet.
a little label or even a progress bar showing x of y required votes received would be, IMO, a nice feature for those of us eagerly waiting to see if we make the cut

It's bad enough trying to get people to post into the correct forum when they can see the list. If it's collapsed, it will be nigh on impossible.

I tend to forget I am not the only user! would be nice to have an advanced settings for folks that use site a lot. Just dreaming....
