There's no error in the logs so all I can assume is that there was a timeout during the message post, either your end as a network timeout or ours as a database timeout during the peak of the morning rush.

I answered a question and later noticed there was an extra pre tag at the end of it, so I edited the answer, and re-submitted. Imagine my surprise when it was still there. It looks like it's re-adding it when I submit the answer.

Strange issue! 
In Sapi5.Function1 there was a C# pre tag right before the parenthesis. So when you submitted your solution the "magic" stuff found the need to close another pre tag. Once I removed this opening pre tag, which was inside an already open pre tag, everything went back to normal. If you now edit your solution you'll find the closing pre tag no longer at the end of your question.

I could sworn I looked for an errant opening pre tag, but okay. Thanks for fixing it.
And ya know - I hate the hand-holding features in the editor. More often than not, they just get in my way and frustrate the hell outa me.

I posted a simple answer to this question[^] and (as you can see) it posted twice. Not sure how, all I did was click "submit" and I must have pressed that a few times...
Anyway, I think they are independant (since it appears I got two +10s for the answer) but I thought I'd leave it for you as I'm not sure they won't both vanish if I delete one or the other!
