How to populate WoW Slider from database

Hi,

I have the following code for WoW Slider to populate images in a slide show. I want to know how to make this dynamic and populate it at runtime from database?

I have worked extensively with Joomla in the past. I also got some chance to work with Umbraco but that was only for one project. I think, since your project is in ASP.NET you should use Umbraco. This way you can use common nomenclature across your website and this CMS. Also, the knowledge of ASP.NET will come in handy if you need to have some customized behavior.

I only used Umbraco among free CMS systems, but whenever I would recommend it depends on what do you want to use it for.

If you want it for small personal site, especially for yourself then it is good choice.
If you look for free solution to implement large project for your client, then it is neither free nor easy to customize.

Admin console is way too powerful with options to modify page templates, giving the client easy way to screw up developer's work. Also deployments are hell without paid addons if you have many page types.

You would have to create a web service that returns your data in JSON, but not knowing what the data is prevents me from answering the question further.

Is it a image url?
HTML?

I'm still not clear on this.

For a SWF, a flash file, you can send parameters to the file in querystring within the flash object html. YouTube does this to show more movie files at the end of movie.

In flash, you have a stage that can pan or slide multiple other stages in the main container, producing a slideshow effect.

I just posted a slideshow tip/trick, you can put flash objects in the child containers and they will pan, but if you have audio in the flash, you will have overlapping audio tracks. The script could be expanded with a ajax call to a web service to get data, and repopulate the child containers with dynamic flash objects, or simply just change the flash movie url.

I need slide show control to show swf files, that control i want to bind from database.
E.g
I have few files swf paths saved in my database and i want to bind that swf path files in slideshow control.

Did you tried Google[^]? I don't know whether you are going to get it free. But if you spend a little then you can get the domain and hosting panel easily.

Just shift & delete(Remember no backups), then you'll enjoy.

Now a days hosting price is very low. if this is for testing purpose then you can get free subdomain hosting very easily or you can purchase your own website in very few $.

godaddy is best with service and price. i am using it.

With the help of ORM you can easily develop your desired application.

or you can get code from any opensource asp.net application. but no one will send you zip file. because all are busy with their work Smile | :)

a long time ago, maybe 7 years I saw a ad system written in PHP, but it was pretty complex, and difficult to setup, and required a dedicated website on your web server to operate it.

You need to decide what kind of file upload you need to have - single or multiple upload at once? Further, the type of UI. Kind of file with size will help you decide on it - once done, use the fileupload controls available that can achieve the same. You can use standard ASP.NET file upload control or various jQuery file upload controls.

You can also try to make your own (or look at few made and shared here at CP) or third party control for the same.

Feature is something that you have to decide based on your need. Speed is only important if you plan to upload large file. If so, get the control accordingly such that the request-response cycle is not too high.

I am kinda new to fb related programming but am really keen to learn.
I was wondering that how to make a application to update Status on FACEBOOK. I want it like it says, "updated by postcorn" or "updated by xyx".
I know its possible as i have seen a lot of applications like that. Say somewhat automated updates of status?

Please help me out. And yeah i tried google. Maybe my method was wrong o anything but i didn't got the desired result.
