Just opened CP homepage and happen to see the vote count on the article competition survey. I remember the details couple of days back. May be it is OK, but I see sudden vote jump atleast in WebDev & Overall category (Total numbers suddenly increased at a super rate and WebDev total has suddenly crossed Overall). Around 25+ votes in 2 days that too for a single article[^].
Has someone else observed the same? As said, I may be wrong but to me it definitely looks like worth looking into.
BTW, the gap is still there. If it is sock-puppet account case, we can see more votes and hike at good rate!

At least 90% of the accounts that leaved a "My Vote of 5" message seem legitime, mostly over a year old. With reputation enough to be active users and with pictures.
I have just given a quick check without reading the content and it is not a thema where I am good at. But at least the format and how it is designed looks nice.
There are many cases of socket pupeteers but in this one, I don't think it (or at least is not that evident)

Sounds like you are talking of article votes. I am talking of the survey competition votes which are hard to review. About article, yes, votes look legitimate.
Thanks for having a look. I know, survey results are reviewed by CP team and made sure as much possible that only legit votes are counted. This looked like an odd case of 20+ votes in 2 days suddenly.

It looks like this kind of abuse is more and more getting the trend.
During last days, I was amazing some most invalid, illiterate or otherwise helpless questions, and wanted to look at other posts of the same members. His sock puppet[^] posts a link to the library's website here[^]. At the bottom right of that page, there is a link to the company's main website.
How do I know this is a sock puppet? Well, besides being created on the same day the Tip was first approved, that member has done nothing except post 3 well timed messages on the Tip. Also, the Tip author was kind enough to post his own email address here[^] (he has since changed the name of his profile). The name in the email address is very similar to the name of the sock puppet.
He has also posted a couple of Answers in QA linking to a command line version of the library (after opening the linked page, I had to go to "Pricing" and "Purchase" to see the actual name of the company).

Answer 2: Print PDF silently from server using C# ASP.net doesn't work[^]
