Discussion about the teachers strike at work today - leave it, not here - when the woman I sit next to (in her 20s) asked "Who is Michael Gove"*.
I was sad and angry and told her she wasn't allowed to contribute to any discussion about anything. After a few seconds I asked her "Have you heard of David Cameron?"**.
She said "Yes of heard of him... Don't know who he is, but I've heard of him".

In her defence, Michael Gove is pretty much instantly forgettable...I could look at a picture of him and have no idea what he looked like ten minutes later.
And having exchanged emails with him some years back, I strongly suspect his own brain doesn't know who he is either...

I'm not allowed to discuss Gove in the house. It's the same as when Brown was in power, if I say what I think about him then Mrs Wife has trouble talking politely to them. I was very proud of her last week, early morning through to a late dinner spent with The Great Victator and Camaroon, and she didn't drop a single C bomb or punch either of them; I call that restrained.
