More because when you order it there is no surety that they will ever be able to deliver it. Or deliver it in a reasonable amount of time. The company creating the product might fail to deliver on time or might not be able to meet production demand.
I have recently had a product on pre-order for 6 months that was finally canceled by the shipping company because they determine they had no expectation of ever receiving it (realistically as it turned out since several years later it has still not been released.)
Another product in the past was delayed by 18 months which is when I cancelled it and it was finally delivered something like 2 years after that.
Following is an extreme example of that.

After two bally weeks, the ickles are back were they belong doing their three R's - readin', writin', ruckin'.
I have a huge [for me] backlog of work to do, I also [allegedly] have a phone call later for what may be a very profitable little project. The little project could also become a large multi-year profit project; just what the Vilmos needs.

Phase 0 - Prototype for proof of concept [nice little earner there Terry]
Phase 1 - Production quality framework [bish-bash-bosh, LOADSA dosh!]
Phase 2..n - Functional deliverables [I think I'll buy Monaco]
0 looks good to go, 1 if that goes well and then it's a case of how much more gets taken on.

"What is the difference between variables declared with [] after the type and ones that do not have [] after the type? like int[] and int?"
my answer:
"You seriously don't know the difference between arrays and normal variables?"
his counter:
"Oh, that's an array? i thought arrays were declared with <>, like list<int>"
sad truth is, when we first met, he had more programming background than me.

Your English is better than most people's Portuguese.

I left that on my signature to explain for general mess ups, but for some reason since the site changed layout a while back, the signature apears as part of the message for me

You could edit your signature a little and perhaps put an <h> at the top.
Also, if I may suggest (as an Englishman with a better than average grasp of the language), you should change: Quote: I'm brazilian and english (well, human languages in general) aren't my best skill, so, sorry by my english... to:
I'm Brazilian; English and other human languages in general aren't my best skills so I apologise for my less than perfect English...
However, your English seems pretty fair to me - at least you are perfectly understandable.
- I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.

well, that's the thing, i think he learned with delphi and then VB.Net, but he has alread worked with C#

that's odd,
even in delphi the [] are used when creating arrays.... anyway, punch him until the <> become []...
