i want to take cancel reason from user when he click on cancel linkbutton on the gridview
i wrote this line in the rowdatabound event
delLnk.OnClientClick = "return confirm('Are you sure you want to cancel this booking?');";
i need to take cancel reason from input dialog and insert it in the database

I have developed one application using C# .NET 2010. I had dynamically pass text value for QRCODE to the “Godex EZ-1100 Plus” printer.
e.g
Name: ABC
Std: Xth
Email ID: abc@gmail.com
I get print out of qrcode verywell but while reading qrcode it escapes next line and show the output in single line like this - Name: ABC Std: Xth Email ID: abc@gmail.com
I have qrcode related ebook but I found it very difficult to understand.
Can anybody help me to resolve the issue?

Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to create a web.config file for security on an intranet.
I want it to have the following rules:
If someone browses to the site on a specific IP range, they get straight in.
If someone doesn't fall into that IP range, they are presented with a log in box that authenticates against an LDAP query.
I have gone down the route so far of the following method for IP access and it works fine.

<modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true"/>
How could I then combine this with LDAP authentication (if that's even possible)? Or should I take a different approach? My only concern so far is that the ipsecurity method is too specific and you are either allowed in or you're not with no room for another form of authentication.
Any tips would be much appreciated!

i have webpage with DropDownList with items inside (comes from my database). Each item i my object property. after choose an item and click the Select Button i reach to this controller method:

Hi All,
I am creating an web page, in the master page I have a logo and UserName & Pwd on the same line.
The text is displayed properly till my scree resolution is 130%. Once I try to increase the screen size the data is cut off.
Kept the width of div ,table size to 100%. But no use.
Any Help.

How did you style the logo,userid label and password label and textbox. Did you use any css and while specifying width did you do it in %. Ex. style="width:20%"

i have a very complex report in crystal report with .rpt extension.
my project is web application.
and i want to convert it to rdlc ,for some reason.
and i don't have any info for rdlc report .
how can i do this.

There is no easy way. You have to do manually like Code Rewrite[^], creating fresh RDLC report, putting report fields manually & make the report same as the existing crystal report.
If you're able to afford $ then go with commercials like Crystal Migrater[^]. Unfortunately I couldn't find any opensources for this.

Is there any way to migrate the customer old denormalized data to my new sql server normalized tables through the web application.

If you write an application that retrieves the data from 1 database and reformats it and writes it into the new database, I suppose that could be called migrating it via a web application.
The sensible way to do this is:
1. Backup both databases
2. Restore onto another server/instance/database name
3. Start writing scripts that reformats the data into the normalised database
4. Test each script and make sure your results are what you expect and the data is properly normalised
5. repeat step 2
6. Run all scripts together
7. Test against your application.
8. Refresh the backup of the production databases
9. Repeat steps 5 & 6
10. Restore the new normalised backup to production.
11. Turn off the old database (you might want to do this at step 8
