Both have their place.

I browse codeproject when I want to find a new idea, stumble upon an interesting point of view, concept or API someone else is playing with.
I query stackoverflow when I'm searching for an answer to a simple question someboby already had.

Notice that codeproject is more for browsing, and stackoverflow for querying.

Codeproject makes you ask better question but rarely give answers.
Stackoverflow gives answer, but never make you ask better question.

It is like if you compare a good book with google, and that you are saying that google get more view... true, but google gives you answer while the book makes you smarter.
