You never heard then that despite their high fat intake they have very low levels of obesity and cardiovascular disease. Its the French paradox. 
Its funny the eay they are bought up here, food really is a important part of their world. Personally I dont much like foie gras, home made chicken liver pate is way nicer, and truffles I really dislike actualy, they just give the dish an overriding flavour of dank mouldy basements.

I have a Samsung Galaxy from AT&T which has been duly unlocked with AT&T provided network code when in US. Currently it is using a BSNL Mobile in India.
1) If this phone is factory reset to clean up the junk in it, would it again lock-itself?
2) If that is the case would the older unlock code can be used again?
3) Even if the older unlock code is applicable, would unlocking be possible from India? I am not sure whether during unlock it would reach the network (and can reach AT&T from India through another operator)

iMac running Win7 via BootCamp. A couple of months ago, I merged some directories and I deleted the one I no longer needed. I can't explain why but every now and then the directory I deleted keeps reappearing! 
I kid not. I've tried deleting it using Shift-Del. I've also deleted it and cleaned the recycle bin. This has happened about four or five times. I've done a complete defrag in the hope that any sectors the directory might have used are hopefully overwritten by other objects. I've never restored it so once deleted it should stay deleted, no?
1. The name of the directory is not Lazarus.
2. I don't do drugs.
Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?
Edit: I should add that the directory contained minidump file I created using C#. There's no media player or other ripped file involved which is what t'internet is pointing at. In short, it's a file I created and has no value to anything on my machine. I'm happy it's not malware or virus related as my machine wears a condom for protection. Really puzzling.

Is that a Windows minidump? It's possible Windows is recreating the folder, if you've got it set to automatically create a minidump.

It was created using code in a small app in response to a divide / 0 test. The app was simply to see if I could create one and there's certainly no automated aspect to it. The last time I actually ran the app was about three months ago and it wasn't long afterwards that it started coming back to haunt me.
I also thought there might be restore point issues but, no, I've not backed out anything that might fall back on one and nothng in the last three weeks or so.

What's the path to the file?
Do you use any mirroring or backup software that might have taken a liking to it?

It's a normal C: drive path into a directory I created so it's not into one of those murky, slimy system-type folders maintained by Win 7.
No backup software or mirroring either. To all intents it's just a user created folder. It's because everything is oh-so boring traditional that makes it even more perplexing. Right now, it's not there but in a few days to two weeks it will be.

I've frequently had directories reappear after deleteing.
The thing is, they never got deleted from the get-go. Explorere showed them as deleted, briefly, but then said Oops! No, it isn't.
Well, it didn't actually say anything. Didn't even bother sending up a message box about it.
The reason? A hidden file in the directory. Explorer got confused because it wasn't set to show hidden files, so didn't notice there was one there...
Another thing you could look for is something using that directory. Easy check: rename it. If it renames with no problem, try deleting it with the new name.

I have to use that trick a lot. We have a diagnostic tool that gets updated frequently that I post on a network share. Even though I plead with people to copy the .EXE and run it locally, there's always someone running it directly from the share. I then rename TraceViewer.exe to TraceViewer_StopRunningMeFromTheDamnNetwork.exe, post the new version, and delete the other one later.

Would setting file permissions on the share so that Joe Luser couldn't execute anything in that folder help; or would the deny just get carried when he copied it to his local system?

This share is for tools we use all over the place. Most of the stuff in it are single-EXE installers. Those don't get replaced often, and aren't typically in use when they do.Dan Neely wrote: would the deny just get carried when he copied it to his local system
I don't think ACL's get copied like that in most cases. I could probably set up an ACL on this file, but it would be a PITA as I think I would have to re-set it each time I pushed a new version to the share.
In other words, I wish people would just follow instructions  .

Is the app in C#? If so, take a look at this question[^] and the first answer to it. If not, then never mind me.

It's a C++/MFC app. There are all sorts of things I could do to prevent this annoyance.
The best solution would be to detect when the app is being launched from the specific network share where it's distributed, automatically copy it somewhere locally, re-launch the local copy, and let the share instance exit. It wouldn't even be that hard to implement; probably on the order of a couple dozen lines of code.
It's not enough of an annoyance to go to this length, and it rankles to have to engineer a solution to others' discourtesy.

Ah, I see. I don't really know much about native development (I am learning some though, at least I am trying to), so I wouldn't be able to do much with that. I can compile things with MinGW-w64 (and some things with VS, like HTML Tidy).

I have experienced that problem with 'something' always wanting to create a 'temp' directory on my C: drive. I solved that problem by manually deleting the directory (or renaming/deleting etc.) and creating a file named 'temp' containing an appropriate text message which I won't repeat here.
I have 2 drives on my system and I don't want anybody leaving droppings on my C: drive dammit!
Windows 8 is the resurrected version of Microsoft Bob. The only thing missing is the Fisher-Price logo.
