I want to buy a new laptop for .Net Programming and I'm trying to figure out what's the best for my case.
What's your laptop model and configuration are you using and if you would change, what laptop and configuration would you have?
Maybe I get the Dell XPS 13 with a i7 4500U / 8Gb RAM 1600 Mhz / 256Gb SSD, what you think?

The configuration you're after seems reasonable then.

If you can, upgrade to 16G and a 512 SSD. That will probably give you 7 years of service.
If you want a small footprint (but will always use a large monitor and full-size keyboard and mouse), I'd recommend going with a Brix Pro[^] instead of a laptop.

Having fixed the button on my left keypad button ultrabook a couple of weeks ago I can afford to wait for a little bit longer before committing. I had originally planned to get a Zenbook UX301, but the spec I wanted appeared to be vapourware and I lost interest in it.
Scott Hanselman mentioned the X1 in one of his presentations a couple of weeks ago and he appeared to be impressed with it.
