But this is not the case for "Needs help" reports: an article stays in the queue even after 5 of these reports. So an article with 15 Needs help reports and 5 Approve votes will still get approved, while it actually is not yet ready. I suggest the following: if an article reaches 5 Needs help reports, remove it from the queue and send it to the Editors/Subeditors. Also put a message to the author on the top of the article, like this: Quote: Your article has been sent to the Editors because [reason here]. Your article will be published soon after the Editors fixed the problems. The quick red ProgramFOX jumps right over the Lazy<Dog>. Mitchell J.23-Jun-14 3:07 Mitchell J. 23-Jun-14 3:07  I haven't fully thought this through, but I though I'd just throw this out there... <context>I've heard a bit of talk lately about "decreasing quality of articles" and surprise over the fact that some "articles" get through, when they are clearly tips, if even that.</context> Anyway, at the moment each pending item has a "unpublished version only" forum attached to it where we are supposed to be commenting about the articles, but I don't see these forums being used much. What if we had a single, permanent, mods-rep-only forum where we could discuss pending items? Sometimes we don't want the author of the pending item to see what we are saying about his article - for example, it gets a bit awkward when prominent mods publicly disagree in front of the author... Also, such a forum might encourage more consistent approval/disapproval of pending items, as then there would be only one place to go to discuss pending items, not heaps and heaps of item-specific forums that disappear once the "invisible verdict" is given for each one. In day-by-day work we comment on the pending article and vote...And I think that it works good...
