I use a Nokia Lumia 720 and I and my little daughter together have dropped it a hundred times, many times glass down. It's still pristine with no scratch or break. The latest incident happened yesterday.
I also use an official phone that is a LG Nexus 5, I dropped it once and one of the speakers stopped working.

Never mind the millions of gallons of diesel fuel pumped into our precious air by Mail readers, every month, it's making bread and cake that causes asthma.
But they forgot to mention that you can burn yourself on ovens and cut your fingers with knives!
Best to stay out of the kitchen altogether. Just drive to supermarkets in diesel cars to buy TV dinners, and install a microwave between the tropical fish tank and the PVC-clad bar in the living room.

Chefs wear masks in China because, for some unknown reason, the Chinese think it's unhygienic to have people breathing and dribbling on your food. It also makes spitting on food a more complicated operation, which is definitely unfair to Chinese catering staff, and must waste a lot of their time.
Anyway, I've watched bake-off, so I know that it's perfectly OK to blow on food that other people have to eat.

When I heard the Mel Gibson was going to play William Wallace I thought it was really bad casting.
But it turns out he is an alcoholic, mean-tempered racist, so it was right up his street.

I agree with that, because Wallace had a solid education from English universities, whereas Gibson's education was in some outback shanty.

That is the question.
I am looking at using Embarcadero (either C++ Builder or Delphi) to write some windows/win8/android/iphone apps. I briefly looked at Xamarin but it is out of my price range. Besides, I don't really care to make monthly payments to them.
I currently don't have a Mac so I realize that I can't actually write an iphone app but I do want the ability to when I can.
I am just looking for folks who have used Embarcadero to create the apps or experienced it in some way. I used C++ Builder years ago and really liked it, I also used Delphi about 10 years ago. So this should be familiar to me.
Any suggestions?

Methinks $300 for the Indie license is pretty decent - that's less than $1/day for a year of upgrades. The license is perpetual, so you if you're happy with the latest upgrade you can continue to use it to build apps without forking out more $.

Good suggestion. I was looking at the starter edition (159.00). There are some limits but I am fine with those for the time being. The next step up for me was professional, which is 512.00. I figured that would last for a few years. That is 670 for a few years. I could get 2 years of Xamarin for that, was also thinking that I lost Xamarin when I quit the subscription.
Time to revisit it.

Just looked again at Xamarin, if the monthly indie subscription expires so does the license to use Xamarin. It looks like the monthy subscription is a trial until 9-1-2014. If they go back to a yearly subscription I think it is usable after the subscription expires. I might send them a question.
