Same question here.
I currently get 25 days of paid leave (combined vacation/sick/personal time), 10 paid holidays (loosely aligned with the federal list; but swapping Columbus Day and MLKJr day for Black Friday and xMas eve).
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?

29 days to use as I wish, 8 days mandated by the company.
I think that is 7 and a bit weeks.

We work a contracted rota pattern which equates to 2 weeks at work, 3 weeks at leave, on top of this we have 7 Company days which are used for training etc. Over a 5 years cycle this averages out at our contracted 154 days/annum.
If we exceed the annual rota+7, then we are paid for these days depending if they are callback/training/delay.
In summary, approx 7 months holiday per year

You need to rent a helicopter to fly our to their offshore (and I don't mean outsourcing) recruiting office. But do keep in mind that Dave's 2 week blocks of work include weekends; and get extended whenever weather is bad on the North Sea and his replacement can't be flown out.

I have 6 weeks in contract, but I can free the extra hours with a 1:1 ratio.
So I have choosen unlimited. But not because it doesn't get tracked. I do have to say and to ask for permission, but it is usually quite easy to get them if the work situation allows it or if they were planned with enough time.
2 years ago I had 4 months holidays in a row. A coworker had 10 months (to build the house).

I have somewhat complex holiday and vacation structure.
This includes:
1. Need based leave (Paternity, Maternity, Adoption, Bereavement, etc.) (Needs Approval, else other leaves will be deducted.)
2. Sick Leave
3. Additional Sick Leave (Needs proof and approval)
4. Casual Leave (Need pre-approval)
5. Privileged Leave (Needs pre-approval)
6. Public Holiday
7. Optional Holiday
8. Other Vacation (Needs Managers approval)
I don't think even my HR would have understood the exact clause. We just apply leave based on need and hope that we have leave balance.

There is a bug with your code. You forgot to assign the result of the conversion to a variable, so if you are the one who coded the payroll app in your company, your holidays are gone!!!

I think they are after the PTO days. The paid holidays you refer to are what we call Public Holidays, the poms call Bank Holiays.
