I am not able to recreate this issue. Where are you seeing the Draft status.
I can think of two things that might be causing confusion.
1- When you start editing a published version, a draft version is created to hold all the changes until you are satisfied with your edits and choose to hit the publish button. This is what you see when you re-enter your article through the menu selection "Article", "Submit an new article or tip".
The list shows any drafts that have been created and auto saved, and if they exist for a newly published article should be a copy of the published article for editing.
2- In the Article editor, there is a Save Draft button. This is not an indication of the status, but rather a way to manually save a draft copy of your working edits that is not ready to publish. The drafts should be auto-saved, but as programmers, we recognize that paranoia is a survival instinct.
If this does not reflect what you were seeing, please provide us with a detailed step by step, click by click, description of how you can re-create this issue. (Un)fortunately, we provide may ways to get to the same place so that everyone can work the way they prefer, and sometime one of the paths may have a glitch.

I've the same issue.
Always I publish my article via the wizard, it creates 2 revisions, one with state "Pending" and a new one with state "Draft".
It is confusing, so I'm not sure whether my article is under review or not.

When you submit your article it will be in the "Pending" state until it's approved. If you fire up the submission wizard again and make any changes (but don't submit) then it will create a auto-saved Draft version.

I am making a windows phone 8.1 app and i would like to change my variable NumberPerClick which is located int file MainPage.xaml.cs and i would like to change the value of that variable in file Upgrades.xaml.cs because that is where my button is located.

This is the wrong place to ask this: this forum is concerned only with questions about article writing and the problems people get with that.
Please try again, posting your question here: http://www.codeproject.com/Questions/ask.aspx[^] and you should get a broader spectrum on answerers, and hoepfully a sensible answer.
But when you do, please try to give as much info as you can on the problem and what you are trying to do to fix it, why that doesn't work and so forth: Remember that we can't see your screen, access your HDD, or read your mind - so we only get what you tell us to work on! The better the info you give us, then better the solution we can give you.

I was directed to post to this discussion by OriginalGriff regarding an issue with a technical blog post. OG specifically hoped that Sean would be able to look into this.
I posted an article to my Blogger site two days ago. That was downloaded during the evening by CodeProject and showed up in my Technical Blogs list. I edited the article in CP because the Blogger formatting transfers poorly to CP, and I want the posts to look decent and be readable. When OriginalGriff reviewed the changes he noted in a comment that it was showing up in the "Articles" queue. You can read the commentary here: Processing SQL Server FILESTREAM Data, Part 4 - Readin' and Writin'. After some back-and-forth OG suspected something was amiss and suggested I post here.
Some other items that might be useful:
1. The post still shows under the heading "Technical Blogs" on my profile, so it doesn't seem to have become an article;
2. Two other blogs posts that got downloaded and that I edited did end up in the "Technical Articles" section, although I did nothing purposefully to trigger that;
3. I did have some problems saving the edits. I kept getting returned to the editing page when I tried to save, then the page would show an alert indicating I have unsaved changes. Actually had to redo some edits.

I've noticed this happening to your blog posts as well and fix them when I catch them. I just went and fixed the remaining "articles" and made them blog entries.
Unfortunately I can't replicate how it happens. It doesn't seem to be consistent. If you ever discover the exact steps to replicate the issue please let me know.

Hi on Oct 14th i wrote my first article in CP and published, but still when i checked in My Article section it is showing in Draft status.May i know why? Shall i re submit it again? And now i have wrote a mail with my contents and filled article template to code project. So how soon that article may publish?

Thanks very much for your submission. I've taken a look at your post and since it is more a step by step explanation it would fit better as a Tip rather than an Article.
That said, would you be willing to add a little more explanation? There are links within the post to deeper explanations, but the post would be greatly benefited by you saying: what problem did you encounter that required JQX Grid? How did JQX Grid help you solve that problem? What is going on in the main code?

Only admins can do that. I can do it for you, but then that means you won't be able to edit the article yourself anymore without the video breaking. I recommend leaving it as is.

Edit your article, ensure you do NOT check "work in progress" and hit "Submit" at the bottom of the article.
However, before you do that please edit your article for content: you have two repeated sections at the top and you do not explain what you are doing. For example, you write "If you are new to the term , Please read here..." but what term are you talking about?
Please add a simple paragraph explaining what the article is about.
