I just made a joke.
Saying the same in serious mode:
You already know they like your article, so you should be proud of your work. Votes here are not going to give you a rise salary or things like that. If 10 people from other places vote your article here, then you know that there are at least 30 people liking it.
What you really know is what is worth.
My own article has very few votes, downloads or bookmarks if you compare with other contributions here. But I don't really care. As far as it just help one person, then it is already worth the efford.

Send them a reminder text, as well as a follow-up email. Also phone them up at night once a week. Maybe even send them a courtesy postcard. Repeat until they vote.

Have them vote from their home connection, or off their cell phones. That should work around the IP limitation.

You probably have the same setup as we have here - proxy. All your network have one IP for the outside word, so all your computer will get the same public address...Try browse this site from computers of your colleagues: http://whatismyipaddress.com/[^]

I posted the message below around 11am JST (or 2am UTC) today.

However, I found that the time stamp is displayed like "12-Nov-14 10:09" when I checked "My Messages" page.
I double-checked my time zone setting, but it was correct.
I checked some of my messages and reputation events. They are all an hour earlier than I expected.
Is it just a bug or is there some special reason?
Now I'm going to post this message at 11:27am JST.

I am not sure, but I think that the timestamp for the events are based on server's time. So the only possibility to match it correctly is to be in the same horary zone as the servers.
I have some hours "jet lag" in my posts (I am in Europe)

I changed my timezone setting from UTC+9 to UTC+8, UTC+10... the time stamps was changed according to the timezone, but always an hour earlier than my calculation.
So I guess (just a guess) CodeProject adjusts time stamps according to each user's timezone and something is going wrong in the adjustment.
