Your style is a bit soft for my taste. Nice to listen to (especially Beatles), but boring to play.
I used to drum metal mostly. Double bass pedals, etc. Drum along with Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy, Anthrax...
Another favourite was drum n bass, now that's fast (and usually electronic)!

Agreed. These land speed records are bull----. All they are effectively doing is taking a jet-powered airplane and designing it to run on the ground. That's not "land speed", that's "ground flying".
In the universe where Gordo rules all, the land speed record could only be set if the speed was generated purely through friction between the tires and the ground. This is just rocket power where the wheels only keep the body off the ground.

Article did not deliver. I'm disappointed.
Fairly oniony though.

I suppose they were partly right.. a stench probably arose from him.
It was broke, so I fixed it.

Some people view faith as a type of currency and if they generate enough of it they can purchase some really large favors from God. The irony is that it is faith in faith instead of faith in God - a type of idolatry.

Quote: The Children's Aid Society was called in too but they found no concerns for the well-being of the couple's children and the case was closed.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

My daughter lives very close to this, which sort of makes it personal.
Those that know Hamilton won't be surprised that the smell went unnoticed: Known locally as "Hammertown" it's the home of Ontario's steel industry.
Life is like a s**t sandwich; the more bread you have, the less s**t you eat.

When I say dir *.xls I do not want to see xlsx files! If I wanted to see xlsx files I would have friggin' asked to see them! Dagnabit!
Workaround, courtesy of Gary Wheeler, remove (existing) short names in the directory:
fsutil 8dot3name strip .
And, optionally, disable future automatic short name creation:
fsutil 8dot3name set f: 1

C:\Windows\System32>dir c:\*.xls /s | findstr /r "xls$"
|
|
|
|
|
That will filter out other things I want to see. The following is better, but still not fool-proof and I don't want to have to do that.
dir *.xls | find /v /i ".xlsx"

Powershell appears to work better with a simple ls *.xls -s
|
|

I don't use Powershell, but I fear that means they won't fix DIR.

I didn't know it did that!
It even does the same for this:
dir *.xl?
But gives "file not found" for this:
dir *.xl

I know, right? It violates decades of history and commonality with other (better) Operating Systems.

That actually makes sense. In MS land ? represents any single character. It's not a wildcard that can mean zero or more like * .

It would make sense if dir *.??? returned only files with three character extensions...it doesn't, it returns none, two, three, four, seven, whatever!
Consistency. Don't you just love it?
