Apparently 42[^] is a very popular number...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

Don't think about this too much more
int hage;
int wage;
Debug.WriteLine("The sum of their age is " + (hage + wage).ToString()+" at the year of marriage in the 18th century");
Do you see the 42, now you know where it's comming from .

I'm sorry. None of you are being sufficiently cosmic. So, just for the sake of the season:
In Genesis, '6' is the number of man (the day man was created). '7' is the number of God. 6 x 7 = 42, so the answer is god elaborated as man: namely, the little baby Jesus!!!!!
Merry Christmas, everyone!

Isn't it just the ASCII/Unicode/UTF-8 code for the asterisk?

The guy that will be an ex-employee is the one that didn't maintain the backup strategy......

Restore backup and all in and working again in less than 10 minutes.
But I have a feeling that it's just the beginning for this week to be honest.

Maybe the problem is that you picked the wrong week to stop[^]?

Bah!
I"m sure the clue is quite easy - it's getting the answer that's hard!
Birds: could be a specific type of bird - hens, parrots, whatever? Too many to choose from!
Dance: could be a type of dance or could indicate an anagram - but of what? Too many dances to choose! Jig, twist, waltz...
Cocktails: Not many cocktails of either one word or at least one short word - martini for example leaves only 5 letters for the bird dance bit!
Without me: A cocktail without the letters ME - I can't think of one WITH the letters ME !
Or the answer could be 'Birds' - eg hummingbirds (but obv. not hummingbirds!)
or the whole thing could mean "without me" - what? Isolationist or something like that - but no birds or dances in that!
There is a dance called "canary" which is also a bird - but then birds doesn't make sense.
Nope - getting nowhere slowly!
