This is good idea. I have three young kids who demand my attention the whole time and it makes trying to do anything extremely frustrating! Again, it's a hard thing to do but I'm learning the best way to handle it is to not try to do anything and just devote the time to them.
And since pretty much everything I do these days involves a computer, this is a step in that direction, on Saturdays at least.

I found that if the phone or the keyboard not at hand it is much easier to pay attention to the kids (I have four) - so the physical separation works best...and the weekday not matters at all...
