Well that's disappointing!
I think a lot of potentially great female programmers are less likely to persue a career in programming because of the boys club image, and I don't think sh*t like this helps.

Blatant sexism does bother me, however I've learned over the years to let it wash over my head. After all the poster was attempting to be humorous (major fail in that department) and it was in the Lounge. The jokes were old and the attitude belongs to a different age (in most western cultures anyway). They weren't even funny back in the 60's.
I've commented before on sexist comments in an article (I believe I described it as "mildly offensive") and immediately got "flamed". This behaviour just makes me realise that people who have to make fun of another set of people are usually more than a little insecure.
I'm resisting the temptation to post a load of "counter" jokes about men ... I'll continue to resist that temptation as I've been told my jokes aren't funny either 
However, I am pleased that at your response (and the responses of several others). Thank you. Keep that respect flag flying
