I edited the title of this Q&A question[^] which originally was "Why is CreateObject("Outlook application") not working". I wanted to change it to "CreateObject("Outlook.application") : Cannot create ActiveX component" but after clicking "Update question" the title got truncated to "CreateObject("Outlook.applicat...".

our article Raspberry Pi as low-cost HD surveillance camera[^] had a few hundred thousand views already.
Now the views counter has been reset to 3000 something.
We've not received any info about this, I've just found out by myself.
Why's that?? Any explanation?

Neither one of the people listed as closing this article have written an article for CP, or a Tip/Trick: [^].
Of course, relatively lower reps, and the fact of not yet having written at least a Tip/Trick, doesn't mean these two question-closers are not illuminated masters with psychic powers. I certainly respect their achievements to date.
And, yeah, the OP's "question" was kind of borderline, I admit.
But, should we "throw out the baby with the bath water," when CP MVP's take time to respond and post working code ?

I agree - maybe it would be a good solution to make the amount of required reports to close a question depending on the reputation of people already having answered; or silently ignore reports from members with a reputation < X ?

May I congratulate you on your outstandingly thorough and helpful answers on many QA questions in the last few months ! It is heartening to see someone "paying the iron-price" to earn their rep
This problem is a bit sticky because those who may not have high reps are also important members of our community, and no one wants to de-value their common sense, and potential contributions, no matter what areas of site participation they choose to invest in.
My personal view is that if a number of answers have been posted, and voted on, comments made, etc., the question ... and its answers ... should stick around.
