My previous employer wanted to make it standard procedure to email every exception in our code to the sysadmin at our customer.
I strongly advised against it as we would soon be labeled spammers and I don't think the customer is willing to pay any invoices we send them if they see the amount of exceptions in our/any code 
It's specifically fun when, for example, the database is down, but the user just keeps on clicking some button hoping that this time it will work

If you wait about 11.5 weeks I'll post about my little Sister's 45th birthday. 4 months later she will have been dead for 17 years from the same cancer.

Cancer is a stone bitch, my brother is in stage 4, but at least he has had a good long innings, dying young is just a tragedy.

Of my Sister. My Mum was chased out in 1973 and although I had a few years of every second weekend I really didn't know or see her. Went to see her around my 21st birthday and didn't keep in touch as I was getting ready for a wedding and a house. Got a call leading up to my 22nd and found out she was dying.
I got to live in an early rendition of what is now a trendy two poof household with kids. Not a good thing. Had nothing to do with my side of the family since 1998 when my sister died. The father died in 2003 and they kept it very quite so I didn't get to go to the funeral.
I put both poofs in gaol in 1999/2000 and have been cut out of everything. The grandmother that raised me died late last year and left me nothing and everything to the remaining previously gaoled poof. Currently going through court to get mine and leave hime with as little possible. I don't over that way cause it is no longer acceptable to sort certain vaginas out without the law involved.
I miss the 70's/80's when you could sort sh*t out the corret if not the legal way. A good old bashing would make me feel better and ... really just make me feel better.

I can feel a downward twinge - then your sister, too. My parents are old - really in the end game - and I know the gray hunter is stalking us all.
Still - the concept is overwhelming - A nephew passed this year, in his mid 30's. The whole concept of someone - anyone - being gone and the helplessness of those left behind. Really too much to truly grasp.

As I became a software developer I became more of an entrepreneur.
I love the idea of engineering a company into existence just as I do software.
I really like great books about this too. I am currently reading Guy Kawasaki's fantastic book, The Art of the Start 2.0[^].
I wonder if you find this to be true in your life also.

..and like a sales-pitch it sounds. You're on CodeProject. Try something like "I wrote a website that shows a random quote, anyone see if you can break it". Place a question that shows concatenated sql a few days before the promotion and you'll get lots of visitors

I suppose having started and continuing to maintain a successful company (i.e. one with positive cash flow and zero debt) qualifies me as an entrepreneur. But I must admit, what really turns me on is building software that meets the needs of end users and makes their lives easier.
I would much rather want to be involved in identifying and satisfying my customers' business needs (by building software) than be involved in growing a company or selling a product.

I feel many devs, by nature, are just like people, bunglers  (fun fact, first time I ever used that word in English, I use it daily in Dutch).
I'm not an entrepeneur yet. Just bought a house, got a new job, happy the way I am. For now.

Your website is missing some share buttons. And a lot more too. Like a nice layout that attracts people and makes them want to come back. And previous, next and random buttons. Perhaps a comment section. That sort of stuff. I want goodies like stickers, mugs and t-shirts too.
Other than that I like the picture, I like the quote, I like the idea
