Sounds like a cool idea.
But there are probably hundreds of other 'appz' out there that does the same. I'm not discouraging you, but it's probably worth thinking over if not already done.

A few years ago, I was very successful at mixing up a liquid which would work perfectly in those foaming hand soap dispensers for home use.
The mixture was 5% dish washing liquid and 95% water.
(Hot water, gently stirred, then cooled to room temperature)
That no longer works in today's bottles. The liquid does come out with some suds, but it isn't really the Foam that I want.
Does anyone have a recipe that can save me from the absurdly priced liquid for the foaming hand soap dispenser ?

T'Interweb is full of recipes: Google: "home made foam hand wash"[^] - some of 'em might even work!
But I'd start by looking at what's changed: since there are only two ingredients in your recipe, it's one of three things:
1) Inadequate temperature control on the "hot water"
2) Different type or ingredients in the "dish washing liquid"
3) Change to the hardness of your local water.
I'd try a bottled water or two: hard and soft - they can make a huge difference to "suddseness"!

Buying foaming hand soap has NEVER affected my bank account, or the chances for children to go to college.

Add some glycerine, available form your local supermarket for making jellies.
While you're at it, buy some Vodka and make Vodka Jelly - it makes a party fun, but not kids parties please...

What exactly is the advantage of foaming soap over, say, a bar of soap or a liquid soap? I always thought it was marketing gimmick aimed at parents with kids: "mommy, mommy, I want the foaming soap...I WAAAAAANNTTTT!!!!!"

Got a reminder that one of my web sites needed renewing.
Thought "Hmm - I really should start blogging again about PooperPig development"
(I used to blog regularly if not frequently, then a small mistake meant I lost the entire blog for ever)
So, got on, blogged my first blog in a while - even added some video.
Then noticed that the blog wasn't the home page.
Thought "I'll fix that!"
:three hours later:
I broke the site. That'll teach me to follow instructions found on t'interwebs!
Repairing it was (much ) harder than I thought!
Finally got it back (I think)
Then found there is an option under settings
Front page displays with options fo "Your Latest Posts" or "A Static Page"
So now it seems to be fixed - I'm a bit scared to blog anything else!

The mistake was not having a backup?

No, I had backups - the mistake was not renewing my hosting account, so when it went, I didn't have access to site or backups
