I said *reading* not *sitting brainlessly, watching*, there is a difference you know. BTW, O.H.M.S.S. is probably my favourite of the books and I do like the film as it is pretty close to the original story. It is my current mission to read the entire cannon of Flemming's Bond books in order.

It's all relative. Growing up in Northern Ontario, I swam in a spring fed lake. The water never 'warmed' up, it just wasn't quite as cold as when the ice first came off. Last month, I was swimming in a mountain lake in South Carolina; again, not warm, but refreshing.

Well then you're being silly. I used to swim as a lad in local drainage ditches streams or in the sea in the UK, now I find if the water is below 20°C it's too cold.

I have seen this on imgur. While this guy must have the biggest balls ever, it is a f**g bad idea to post this since copiers/challengers may have less luck in their attempts. 
In the comments below the imgur post there was a link of a guy attempting to walk on a big crane, failing and stepping over in the void.

You can just go and ignore gravity. As long as one isn't aware that gravity exists one won't fall.

I'm absolutely fascinated by free running but at no point am I tempted to give it a go. It's a very fine line of knowing how far to go to protect people from their own stupidity.

There is just one thing about it that I find interesting. If I laid out a few tiles of the same size and the same distance apart on the floor, I could probably dance on them with little trouble or missteps. Doing the same up on that building would get me killed in seconds.

Yes, because of the heightened awareness of the dangers involved. If you are on a sidewalk, that part of the CPU is in standby and eating almost no resources at all.
