My evaluation just ended, and because I've been away on vacation for 2 weeks, I could barely evaluate and use it.
(using VisualStudio 2012)
In the limited time I used ReSharper, I mainly tried some of the refactoring tools and the code analysis tools and liked them.
Compared to VisualAssist, some features worked better, while VAssist implementation worked better (maybe just because I'm used to use VAssist).
Have you installed it and used it for C++ code?
What are your opinion of the C++ implementation?
Can I expect that the post 1.0 releases fix and add missing features that are available in the C# versions (is jetbrain known to be fast at producing updates?) ?

I have no clue about the C++ stuff, but for C#, ReSharper is basically no less essential than oxygen in my air. If you ask them nicely, I'm quite sure they'll give you another month's evaluation. They have done so for me numerous times, ha, and once it seems they even got tired of me bugging them and just gave me a year's license.

I have a sub to Ultimate, which includes C++. I haven't done a ton of stuff with it, and I never used VA prior, so I can't compare to that.
What I can tell you is that it's very definitely a 1.0 product, but I'm hoping it will follow a similar trajectory to the .net tools, and ramp up the functionality quickly.

I use ReSharper all the time. not the C++ stuff, though.
I find the re factoring and code inspection, a must. It also is configurable, so you can turn off most of the stuff you don't want to see, like various inline code suggestions.
It is worth the money and small learning curve, IMHO.

Played around a bit. Mostly just with the analytics/code quality stuff; I haven't really tried any of the refactor stuff yet.
Within individual files it seems as good as the C# version. But there's one gaping hole in the package; solution wide analysis isn't supported yet; and worse instead of the feature being disabled or displaying a ".net only for now" message, it silently appears to work while not returning any results.

What on Earth has happened in the last couple of months. Probably 75% of the time I click on links to sites with actual real article-style content I get an immediate, page-covering "SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTER" ad. It's so bad that my brain processes them as big blank areas of the screen and will allow me 0.02 seconds to find the "close" button before it hits the back button.
It is beyond obnoxious.
Is it just me or am I being targeted for transgressions in a past life?

It's not only the sign-up for our newsletter that you get either, most of the times it's adds.
The add block add-ins in chrome help tho, but they make chrome run so damn heavy.
As a side note: CP is the only site where all my add block add-ins are turned off, for some reason add's here don't bother me at all

I would do that, too. But I switched from AdBlock to a custom HOSTS file, which, obviously, doesn't allow for individual website treatment :-/ Do you accept ![Beer | [beer]](https://www.codeproject.com/script/Forums/Images/beer.gif) crates?

But seriously, If the ads are not held in my face at every click, I might actually look at them if one interests me. I think the ads are present enough to be noticed and do not get on the users' nerves.

Same here - probably because NoScript blocks scripts from the evil 💩 doubleclick.net, so I still don't see any ads. 
(Any chance of fixing that, so I can support the site without selling my soul to Google?)

I'm not actively blocking anything on CP; but I have to use IE10 to visit the site at work due to a Works on Everyone's Machine but Mine clusterelephant with the MITM HTTPS proxy and the CDN setup you're using to host javascript/style sheets (*herp*ummm i dunno, we could try deleting your profile and reformatting your laptop*derp*), and either your ad scripts don't load anything in the obsolete browser or some lesser variant of the same CE is preventing them from loading.

Yeah. Currently CP is one of the very few pages where AdBlock and Ghostery are disabled. The ads aren't really bothering me neither. They usually are relevant as well.
If I find myself using a site a bit more often I try to see how the page looks with ads. If the ads aren't intrusive (blocking view on content, flashing, blinking whatever) then I usually consider whitelisting it.

Right, the ComputerWorld.com, InfoWorld.com, CIO.com etc sites have used a new obnoxious style.
I even created an RSS READER and shared it with CPers so you can see the list of articles and then click on the link and read the content in a clean view.
