I am a PhD student in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment, Nottingham Trent University.
My research is on ‘Individual Upcycling’ – creation or modification of any product out of used products, components or materials in an attempt to generate a product of higher quality or value than the compositional elements at the household level.

This didn't seem to fit Insider News, whereas it's not new tech, but this is a supercool historical story nonetheless and one I thought a lot of you might enjoy seeing the history of your digitized maps and a functioning navigation system from the mid 1980's.

Here[^] One of my favorite bass players. Yesterday, whilst driving the family around, the missus was rifling though the radio stations and happened upon "Starship Trooper" to which I said "Can we leave it here?", and she did. Now understand, this NEVER happens. Even the younguns didn't gripe, this also NEVER happens. We listened to the whole song, which upon ending, the station was immediately switched.

I remember hearing 'Roundabout' when I was a teenager and instantly becoming a 'Yes' fan. For me, it was the interesting bass parts and unmistakable Rickenbacker sound from Squire that I was attuned to. Sad news indeed!

Exactly! The very same thing (along with Jon Andersons' voice) that caught my ear. Two completely dissimlar sounds that when combined were magical.

As a janitor in a small town library, I was eager to either...

[B] stay late after closing
...in order to do the floors, because the library was ultra super progressive (well, for those days) in amassing various collections of music on vinyl discs.

...I watched a documentary about how a dog navigates more with it's nose than with it's eyes - which I got proof of when our old dog got cataracts and went blind - he could run around almost at full speed!
