A bit off topic, but judging by our teeth, we should be eating more vegetables than meat. Yet, most people never do that. And then they wonder why they have health problems. To eat our meat we have to soften it and use utensils otherwise it's difficult for the body to digest. And we call this natural?

I'll always eat meat, but I wish more people would remember we're meant to eat veggies more than anything else. And yet, nobody does.

Not quite true. I think a lot people recognize that we shouldn't eat meat all the time. I don't eat it that often.

"Omnivore" is more than meat and veggies. Please explain how flat teeth are for "veggies" and the cutting teeth for "meat", so I can point out that we still need both to consume either.

There is indeed a difference between the produce from the supermarket or the fastfood-chain and the real animal.

That "softening" that is required for meat is actually simply the start of the rotting process. Cooking stuff is indeed a nice invention

Actually, I follow more of a Paleo diet. Beans aren't good for you either. You're not supposed to get bloat and gas from foods like that, the body has a hard time digesting legumes.

Neither is smoking, but I'm not aiming at being good either.
Beans might not be "ideal", but no chilli without those either. "Not ideal" because they are not actually that bad, if you consider the ROI. The reason the Western people can 'digest' some part of the milk is because there is a bacteria in the intestines that turns milk into energy and.. gas

Interestingly, I thought I'd have a rough stab at the math.
20 times mass of sun = 4E31Kg.
Energy to accelerate that mass to 24 km/s = 1.2E40 J
Estimated total output of a supernova = 1-2E44 J
So there is enough there.
But, the supernova energy will be (almost completely) radiated in all directions, so the star needed to catch roughly 1/1000th of the total energy, which is unlikely, since it would have to be pretty damn close to do that (and I'd have thought that tidal effects would have destroyed it long before in that case).
And catching that much energy on one side in a short space of time would be...um...messy, wouldn't it?
